El Rincón de Vallejo — Restaurant in Trujillo

I went to pick up the food for takeout. It was the Friday before mother's day so they were extremely busy just to qualify this review. It was fairly late, getting close to 10 pm. I ordered several dishes to bring home. The chicharon sandwich had only 2 small pieces of pork and they were pretty dried out. The vegetable tortilla was burnt on the bottom (looked good but once you went to eat it you got a mouthful of burnt). The rice (white) was still somewhat raw and the humitas were not very fresh. They did say they were out of humitas but the waiter offered to go next door and get some - he said they were owned by the same restaurant just a different name but who knows. The chicken parrilla was well cooked but was kind of flavorless as if they just splashed on some marinade before cooking which would make sense with how busy they were. Overall a poor experience from what we were expecting. This was the first time at their Central location, we always go to the Avenida España location and everything is very good. Won't be going back to this location but will definitely be going back to the Avenida España one....

Stunning location, that actually reminded me of the Encanto house, stunning food, efficient and friendly service. I loved the creamy, freshly made Huancaina sauce - the best I've tasted in Peru! The house salad was generous and also fresh. However, it's the cheesy HUMITAS that stole the show! Goodness me! Freshly-ground, tender corn with slithers of andean cheese inside. Must go there again before I leave Trujillo!...

Local amplio ubicado en el centro de Trujillo. Tener en cuenta que su política de distribución y asignación de mesas depende del tamaño de las mismas que son asignadas a los grupos de personas que van llegando, por ejemplo si llegan 2 personas pueden estar esperando 10 minutos hasta que se libere una mesa pequeña y en ese mismo instante puede llegar un grupo de 5 personas y entran al instante porque hay mesa amplia disponible. Por ende ponen por sobre el cliente su beneficio. Desde ya un enfoque de atención no orientado al cliente sino a su beneficio pese a que el local es amplio. Los tiempos de espera son largos de 30 min para arriba sea cual sea el pedido. Al parecer pese al local amplio y gran cantidad de mesas su despensa no es amplia porque al llegar nos dijeron se habian acabado los jugos y batidos siendo las 10 am. En resumen tienen un enfoque orientado en su beneficio y no en el cliente y su logística y despensa es pobre. Sabor nada espectacular, el café como verán en la foto nos dieron con cucharas enormes porque no tenían pequeñas; la anécdota de mal gusto es que habiendo preparado el cafe pasado teníamos esencia de sobra, a lo cual vino un mozo y sin preguntarnos nada se la llevó, la rellenó y la puso en otra mesa. Realicé en ese momento el reclamo respectivo. Personalmente una muy mala experiencia en Trujillo es más nombre porque el restaurante deja mucho que desear . Por los precios mejor se come en Guadalupe los sandwiches de pavo con mejor atención, calidad, sabor y precio. A tener en cuenta para que nos les suceda lo mismo a...
