Conti's Bakeshop & Restaurant - SM Southmall — Restaurant in 2nd District

I have never been disappointed with Conti's ever before, until my experience last Thursday. We were stood outside waiting for somebody to get us seated, but nobody was available so we walked in and found ourselves a table, and that was when we were greeted by one of the staff members. I've been sat down more than 10minutes and was waiting for somebody to take our orders, or somebody who is interested enough to take our orders. But all the staff seemed to be too busy to even notice us sat there trying to get their attention. So i called one of the staff to take our order, and he seemed to be bewildered about me calling his attention specifically. I dont care, i want to eat. We were hoping to get a quick bite, so we ordered their promo (2 meals for 550). The guy said waiting time will be 20 mins for these orders. Cool. After waiting for almost 20mins, waiter came back to us only to say that one of our orders is not available anymore. Great. We extended our deepest gratitude and left the premises with our empty stomach and boy i was hangry! Note for this branch...please dont do this to often to your customers otherwise you'll end up with bad reviews like this. I will never come to this branch ever again. But hey, what can my review do to your empire?...

It was my mom’s 71st birthday, and we celebrated with lunch at Contis Southmall. From the start, the ambiance of the restaurant was unwelcoming. We raised our hands for 10 minutes and asked the staff to take our orders, but no one seemed to care. The mango salad that claims to have chicken contains only two one-inch-long pieces. They used iceberg lettuce instead of romaine, and it’s not worth the price. The staff don’t seem to care; they act annoyed when you ask questions. We inquired about how the PWD and senior discounts were calculated with a server named Joy, and she appeared very irritated, telling us she would recompute it instead. We ordered two molo soups; one order arrived after 30 minutes, and the other one after 45 minutes following a series of follow-ups. We ordered a slice of blueberry cheesecake, which tasted child-made; it was frozen solid and fresh from the freezer. What a waste of money. We had already lost our appetite. Loved this place, However recently, The service hasn't been great. I was served halo halo with what couldve been water. Then, I was served a completely different meal than that of what I ordered. The food is nice, But if I'm paying 500 pesos for one plate of beef and mushrooms and get a completely different dish, I don't see why I should continue to eat here. The atmosphere was not good either - I was always being bothered by the flies, Not to mention the sticky tables. We also had to stand for nearly 5 minutes for a waiter to clean the table, We had elderly relatives with us pa naman. The inside of the restaurant was chaotic. I noticed how there was a dirty mop bucket right beside some diners, and the toilet was just appalling. However, Their food, when or if it even gets to the right table, Is very good.
