The food taste good, but prep, portions, and service were spotty. Our appetizers arrived together with the entrees. Rice was served inefficiently, so others waited 5 mins while the rest ate. The Cansi steak came out room temperature, which confused us since it comes served on a sizzling plate. For the price of the blue cheese salad, it came with little portions of dressing, nuts, and other components. The cansi steak, if prepared and presented better, is one I would recommend. The crispy Kare Kare and sisig are decent. The garlic parm wings is actually really good! Just skip appetizers. Portions are skimped on our salad and fries.

Finally had the means and the time to try out this up and coming resto which serves comforting food. The place is quaint but clean and tidy, and the food is good. It makes the trip worthwhile. We tried their bestselling Cansi Steak and it was good. The Sisig was alright and the Beef Salpicao was such a huge star of our meal. I took bad photos since lighting was dim because it was past 7PM but the presentation is pleasing and seating is comfortable. They could up their Shanghai game but it's a two thumbs up for the overall experience.

One of the lowkey restos in Bacolod that offers good food perfect for all occasions. We tried their beef salpicao (it was good! love the sauce), garlic parmesan wings (flavorful and good), cansi steak (meat was so soft and tender, sauce was okay), sizzling blue marlin steak (the fish was too overcooked for me), and their salad (which i enjoyed). They have friendly staff and cozy ambiance. The only problem is their limited parking space.

If you're looking for a place in Bacolod that blends comfort food with a touch of culinary flair, Carmen's Kitchen deserves a spot on your radar. Tucked into the city’s vibrant dining scene, this cozy gem has earned its reputation not just for its flavorful dishes, but for the warmth that greets you the moment you walk in.

The menu is a love letter to hearty Filipino favorites with a twist—think cansi steak that’s both tender and rich, dynamite shrimp with just the right kick, and pepper steaks that hit that savory sweet spot. Each plate feels thoughtfully prepared, not just in taste but in presentation. It’s the kind of food that makes you pause mid-bite and say, “Wait, this is really good.”

Service is another standout. The staff are genuinely accommodating, striking that rare balance between attentiveness and giving you space to enjoy your meal. Whether you're dropping by for a casual lunch or celebrating a special occasion, they make you feel like a welcome guest rather than just another customer.

The ambiance leans cozy and inviting, perfect for intimate dinners or relaxed gatherings. With a Google rating of 4.6 and glowing feedback across platforms, Carmen’s Kitchen isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a reminder of how food, service, and atmosphere can come together to create...

I used to go to this place for its delicious food, but my recent experience was disappointing. Upon entering, i was seemed unnoticed, as no one greeted me or offered a menu. Observing, I realized there was only one waitress for the area, which had about five tables. I attempted to call her while she was passing by for a menu, but she didn't respond, and when I persisted again coz i thought my voice wasnt loud enough, it felt intentional. Even if she was occupied with another table, a simple acknowledgment could have made a difference. Despite giving her another chance for the third time, my calls were still ignored. So I just left after 3-5...
