East Bite — Restaurant in Bacolod

I don't like giving bad reviews unless I'm highly dissatisfied with the service and right now, I am. I understand that the place is busy on this Monday evening and that they have many customers to attend to. I, myself, have worked in a restaurant before and I understand how busy it gets. But to continuosuly ignore a standing customer (we've been standing for a few minutes na) without caring to greet or to offer them a menu is RUDE on so many levels and is a BAD customer service. Kapila kami gin agi-agihan lang sang waiter niyo. Nagkadto ko sa counter, ni tulok sa mata, waay gid. It's as if me and my partner were invisible. As a result, we walked out na lang because I was too hungry to complain but I swore that this will not go unnoticed that is why here I am, leaving you a not so pleasant review. I hope we're the last customers to experience the cold treatment...

Have never written a google review in my life. But had such a rough experience that I had to post. To start off, Had to ask multiple times to bring my soft drink that I had initially asked for.

Waited over 1 hour for a side dish, not even a main dish to arrive. I’m not sure if they were still trying to catch the shrimp or what. By the time it arrived the rest of the food to eat it with was cold.

They were nice enough to offer to cover the meal, which we declined, the damage was already done and we were no longer in the mood to eat after waiting for so long. They also offered a free dessert which was nice, but if you’ve ever faced the wrath of a pregnant wife you know the path to redemption requires much more.

Would not recommend unless you enjoy waiting until next year to get the food...

It’s a good effort as an Asian restaurant (I’m a big fan of asian cuisine). You get to enjoy variety of dishes from different Asian countries in one go. Staff are friendly and professional. Place is comfortable but a little bit small and you have to experience the busy street outside. Presentation of the dishes are not bad. Although we are not in a hurry, the food takes longer time to be served. The butter chicken doesn’t taste cooked in a butter but overpowering coconut cream. Chili oil dipping for wanton is a bit burnt. Peanut butter sauce for the spring rolls too sweet. Overcooked chicken for Nasi Lemak so it’s really dry and hard to eat (same with hainanese chicken), not to mention the peanuts served were stale. Hopefully they can do better next time. I...
