The lake at Burnham Park was carved out of a watering hole for cattle during the early days of Baguio or period of Kafagway. Architect Daniel Burnham included it to heighten his design of the city as a rest and recreation destination for battle tested and weary American soldiers needing rejuvenation. Well, it is now part of Baguio’s center of attraction that offers boat riding to visitors. Also, a lot of creative activities already happened at the lake like. The boats here are rented normally by the hour. I believe you can go as far at 6 people in the boat and there really is no best time to rent a boat - but best to go in a group. Nice to even bring your own food, and eat it while doing the boat ride. Note: MASSAGES also done but discreetly and at the sides of the park under the trees. According to the masseuse (all females) - the guards chase them away as it's not supposed to be done. I'd say it's generally tolerated but why not support...
