I did not regret choosing this hotel and will definitely come back the next time we visit Baguio. Very accessible, mababait mga staff plus I forgot to mention they have water dispenser every floor which I really appreciate coz we don’t have to buy gallon of water outside. Thank you Venus Parkview Hotel!

Date of visit 2019 Dec 21 to 26. Room no. 353. Room for 6 people. Location 10. Air conditioning / Ventilation 8. Hot water / Water flow 7. Amenities and other services 6. Acoustics / Noise 4. Ambience 7. Cleanliness 10. Service 10. Location: The location is in the centre of Baguio city, so it was very convenient to go to other attractions in Baguio. It is also very close to Burnham park, a great open area to relax and engage in various activities such as cycling, water paddling, picnic, etc. During festive seasons such as Christmas and the new year, there are also events or fireworks held in Burnham park. Ventilation: There was no air conditioning, but 2 stand fans were provided in the room for 6 persons. It is very cold in Dec anyway, so there is no use for a fan at night. Water: There is hot water, but the water supply is weak and not steady. Amenities and other services: There are quite a lot of television channels and the signal is quite clear. There are not enough power socket outlets. There were only 3 in the room, and 2 were used up for the stand fans. The remaining 1 outlet is not sufficient for 6 people. Acoustics: The sound proofing of the room is very bad. You can hear people climbing up the stairs, walking in the corridor, conversations and noises from other rooms, doors closing, door knocks, vehicles on the roads, neighbour televisions, etc. Ambience: The lobby looks grand. The Olive Cafe also looks good. And the room looks okay even if there are some holes in the wall corners which are patched with masking tapes. Cleanliness: The rooms always looked welcoming after the daily make up. It was also very clean, I did not detect any roaches or bugs throughout the stay. Service: The rooms were normally in a mess whenever we left. However, they still looked welcoming after the daily make up. Travelling: The drawback is that most of the taxis are always occupied, so there is a long wait time to board an empty taxi. To be fair, this problem plagues the whole of Baguio during peak seasons. Grab app doesn't seem to be useful either as the taxis are all busy / occupied.

Booked through Agoda Room Type: Superior King with Balcony Number of Nights: 3

Booking experience: (1/5*) Already had an issue as early as this. The Superior King with Balcony has air-conditioning highlighted in the facilities list but there's actually none. This was confirmed when I called to check on my booking and was notified about it. The staff on the phone was even argumentative that they had it correct in Agoda. Well, as of this writing (06/23/2023), the room still indicates that it's air-conditioned. Thankfully, Agoda assisted me with this issue. (Yes it's Baguio and it's cold but I just wanted an air-conditioner for a drier setting and controlled temperature due to the weather during the stay.) Take note that this is via Agoda and experience could be different via other channels.

Value for Money: (1/5*) We just didn't have any choice because of an event that we have to attend here. But compared to other hotels within the area, the price to quality is terrible! Although you'll be greeted with a nice lobby and staff, the property feels really old and gloomy along the hallways. Not to mention the bad accessibility on your way to your room. More to that in the Facilities review.

Location: (5/5*) This is probably where the price is tailored at. The hotel is strategically located in the heart of the city, near convenience stores, restaurants, Burnham Park and a huge mall where you can shop for anything you might need.

Cleanliness: (3/5*) Overall it's acceptable. There's just this dark, dusty particles on the drying rack, toilet tank and a little bit on the bathroom sink that I didn't bother calling room service and just wiped them off myself.

Staff: (3/5*) Everyone never failed to greet us with their great smiles and courtesy. I just had to remove a star to the argumentative staff who handled me on the phone during my booking phase. The other star deduction goes to the staff whom we asked for assistance when we had an issue with our keycard access. We got a top-floor room and there's no elevator, front desk isn't answering the phone that time as well. We were all too tired from our tour and just wanted to get some rest. However, the staff failed to return to us to sort out the keycard problem and really had to go down to update the access.

Facilities: (1/5*) I can't believe a 3-star hotel can't have an elevator for their guests. They only offer it for their guests staying in the Executive Rooms. But at least our bags get to use the elevators right? Kidding aside, if your Baguio itinerary involves a lot of on-foot activities with a lot of terrain, don't get relieved yet upon completing the tour of the day because you'll still be facing more steps going to your room. Another thing, I haven't noticed a smoke detector inside the room and balcony. I thought it's strictly smoke-free but cigarette smoke from another balconied-room entered our room since there's no air-conditioning and windows are wide open. Also, there's a large Google TV, mini fridge and an electric fan. But the room is only equipped with one 2 gang electrical outlet inside the room and another one with the same type inside the bathroom. So fridge is in use, we need to use the electric fan, but we also wanted to use the TV. We can only choose right? No way! Just force the fan plugged in the one from the bathroom instead. But these aren't the worst part yet. Here's where safety is compromised: Their bathroom for this room type is not safe at all! This isn't even an exaggeration. The way that the floor tiles are angled towards the drainage, is just too steep and the tiles are way too slippery! This is very dangerous especially to the elderly ones! Safety handles? There's none. This needs to be remade before an...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐||Short backstory muna. đŸ€Ł|Our original wedding date was set for December 12, 2020, unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19, we had to cancel the wedding and cease all preparations. |In January 2020, my former workplace offered me the chance to attend a PMAP conference to be held at Venus Parkview Hotel. Despite the facade being typical, the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the interior's charm and the tranquil atmosphere.✹ As someone who has always been drawn to subdued lighting, chandeliers, and a rustic ambiance, I found myself immediately enamored. đŸ„č|As I was making my way to Fil's Hall, I passed through the Olive Grand Ballroom where another event was taking place. The vibrant lighting, the dazzling chandeliers, and the lively atmosphere all left a profound impression on me. I couldn't help but think what an exceptional wedding venue it would be for us. 😇 After the PMAP conference concluded, the staff began distributing flyers and welcoming inquiries from the guests. (Intrigued and hopeful đŸ€Ł) I decided to inquire and picked up a flyer. It might have been wishful thinking, but from that day onward, I envisioned Venus as the perfect venue for our wedding. đŸ€ž||Skipping ahead to 2022, as COVID restrictions eased slightly, we made the firm decision to proceed with our wedding plans. In the process of contemplating the wedding venue, my primary factor in choosing “the one” was HOW ITS HOTEL STAFF WOULD HANDLE OUR INQUIRIES AND INTERACTIONS, (considering that we’ll be working with them leading up to the wedding day). Although we explored several hotels in Baguio, there was an UNDENIABLE SENSE OF SUITABILITY that we felt exclusively at Venus Parkview Hotel. EVERYONE WE INTERACTED WITH, FROM THE FRIENDLY GUARDS, RECEPTIONISTS, VALET ATTENDANTS TO THE RESTAURANT CREW, ETC., WAS NOT ONLY PLEASANT TO SPEAK WITH BUT ALSO GENUINELY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT PROVIDING US WITH ASSISTANCE (walang halong eme). The reason why many people consistently host events and revisit the place. 🙋 Yes, Venus isn't as modern or fancy as the newly built hotels but the staff were really nice, kind, not intimidating, and down to earth (definitely, the kind of people we want to work with).||I'd also like to give a special mention to Sir Alvin John Tavares for his exceptional (ye-hess! đŸ€Ł) involvement in our event. He not only served as our hotel coord but also became a valued friend and confidant.đŸ«¶ He was always so attentive and always so responsive to the many questions and concerns we had (24/7!). Having you as our hotel coordinator was a pleasure, and if given the opportunity, we would gladly have you as ours again. Naks!đŸ«°||Addendum đŸ€Ł:|We also extend our gratitude to Venus, especially Ms. Reggie de Guia (sobrang friendly in person!) for the complimentary 2-night vouchers. While gaining exposure from various conventions and being showcased on your billboard was already gratifying for us, the gesture of appreciation through the vouchers was truly...
