Sweetmates Cakes & Cafe — Restaurant in Baguio

It is a nice place to enjoy a hot of tea from a variety of flavors to choose from or a delightful cup of coffee especially in Baguio's gloomy wearher. The staff, too, was pleasant and welcoming.

We didn't like, however, that there was someone smoking in the Non Smoking Area, which defeats the pupurpose of all the signs that they have set up, especially since the wife was pregnant.

The prices, too, are very expensive. A single slice of blueberry cheesecake costs ₱113, it's no longer fresh with dry blueberry glaze and it seemed that it has been on display for a while. The strawberry smoothie costs 167 each, and we expected it to have at least a small amount of real strawberries in it, but it heavily tasted of...

It is located just beside Orchard hotel or in front of Holiday Inn. The staff are very hospitable and they informed us that they also provide lodging at a very affordable rate. Discounts are given for groups of 3 pax.

They also serve lunch and dinner.

But wait there's more, breakfast buffet is available starting at 630am at a very reasonable price of 165 pesos. Tara na....

Went here to try their weekend breakfast buffet (Fri to Sun). Although limited, it was enough to satisfy me. At P249, buffet spread included garlic rice, skinless longanisa, chicken curry, tortang talong, galunggong (?), arroz caldo, champorado, omelette (to order), pancakes (to order), pandesal and cakes.

I liked the longanisa and the champorado. I asked for the pancake syrup and was told it was still being made. Unfortunately, the syrup never came. So that was...
