Me and my sibkings ended up in Dabang since Cafe by the Ruins is full (gates closed lol).
We recommend taking the taxi. Its really far, kt might seem like its near via google maps but its not. Plus the place is elevated, so its kinda a hike to get there. Not to mention the foot bridges.
We finally got to the area, and it was almost full. They have the usual seats and tables and they have Korean style seats and tables.
We ordered the Dabang signature coffee and the vanilla latte. Its was ok, nothing special. Borderline meh.
For the pastries, we ordered the cream-filled castella, and strawberry crumble. Castella was dry, and almost stiff. Cream was nothing special, it was just sweet. Cream on top and filling is the same, i thought there was custard. But no. The strawberry crumble tastes like dewberry. Nakakaumay na sya by the third taste.
The coffee place is worth the try, i guess. For experience-purposes. Again the shop is far from burnham park, dont try to walk/hike going to the shop. Mura lang taxi sa baguio.
They have ample amount of parking space and hanggang 10pm yung shop nila. The place is also not air...
Read moreI actually went here to study. They have free wifi and sockets in the study space which you can use for as long as you’re there.
They have this partitions for every space specific for socialization, dining in and studying; there’s also a kid’s playroom. Since the place is spacious, I didn’t get distracted with people making chismisan and with kids yelling in excitement because the noise doesn’t get suppressed inside. The place is surrounded with huge sliding windows so the ventilation is really good and you would get a nice view of Baguio City (view literally shifted from sunny to foggy to a beautiful city night light).
The food has large servings so it’s relatively not expensive. I loved their latte too. At night, they serve chicken and beer too.
I would definitely go back here to study, or...
Read moreWe liked the cozy vibe and service at this café, but when it comes to the food, we had mixed feelings. The matcha latte lacked the authentic flavor one would expect, reminiscent of a store-bought version. The tteok combo, though passable, didn't leave a lasting impression. The desserts, including the blueberry crumble and pumpkin cake, were enjoyable but lacked the wow factor. The Oreo cheesecake was a major disappointment, failing to resemble a true cheesecake in taste or texture. The WiFi service, while functional, is nothing exceptional. It suffices for casual internet browsing but may not meet the demands of those requiring high-speed connectivity for work or entertainment purposes. Overall, it’s an average spot for a casual visit, but certainly not...
