Acacia Steakhouse — Restaurant in Cebu City

I recently went to Acacia Steakhouse eager to indulge in what had been praised as a culinary gem. Our experience, however, was far from the expectations set by the glowing reviews we encountered prior to our visit.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a long line snaking out the door. While waiting isn’t ideal, I took this as a good sign—if so many people were eager to dine here, the food must be outstanding. When we finally made our way inside, the irresistible aroma wafting from the kitchen only heightened my anticipation. The air was filled with scents that promised a delicious experience ahead.

However, that excitement quickly started to dwindle once we were seated. Our waiter, instead of sharing in our enthusiasm for the food, seemed disinterested and even a bit rude. It’s one thing to be busy, but it’s another entirely to feel dismissed and unwelcomed. When we attempted to ask for recommendations, his curt responses only added to the growing disappointment.

Unfortunately, this poor service overshadowed the experience we hoped to enjoy. The atmosphere, which initially appeared vibrant, started to feel uncomfortable with a waiter who lacked basic hospitality. After a few minutes of feeling dejected and unvalued as customers, we decided to leave before even ordering.

While I was excited to try what I thought would be a delightful meal, the combination of a long wait, the sweet smell of food, and less-than-stellar customer service ultimately led to a frustrating outing. I hope that for the sake of future diners, they can work on their service, as the food truly has potential. For now, I cannot recommend based on my experience. There are plenty of other places with not only great food but also staff that appreciates...

I was recommended to Acacia steakhouse by a friend of mine who does events in cebu. I went there twice to be honest , the 1st time I took a friend of mine there to have a work meal and dinner and I was blown away by the level of service and the food. Highly recommend taking the pepper steak for 2 @1850 pesos! Comes with free prawns/gambas. Also ask for more garlic butter in your steak. I didn't even use the black pepper sauce to be honest just the garlic butter was heavenly. So after my dinner with my friend, he's a cebu city cop and he mentioned this must be the best steak in cebu. I was quick to agree. For me it's the best steak I have tasted anywhere in the world and I have been around the world ! .. We quickly ordered take out for his wife also for her to sample the meat.

.. the second time was the very next day. I booked it for my wife and sister in law along with my infant son to try the food. They obviously were blown away and mesmerised ,they never knew that as a foreigner I could find such places in cebu (they are born and bred in cebu as well) ... Needless to say a few steaks and gambas later plus alot of heavenly mango shakes with some wine. The bill was manageable and most importantly everyone was satisfied and even dare I say impressed by the standard of the food.

It's a must visit ! Also for service , look to be served by Ms Jessa . She's the best server/waiter on site. You will be given so much attention and she takes everything you say regarding food and drinks very seriously.

My first steak was sumptuous 😋 thanks to this restaurant 👍. The place is quite hard to find I may say, since it is located on an area where it is away from the crowd majority (thanks to Grab and Google Maps.. hehe). However, this is what makes the place special after all. You can definitely enjoy the steak with the cool romantic ambiance, away from rowdy people.

The price is just about right, I mean yes, its ranging from 300-1500php for the steaks, but it is steak, people should not expect it to be ranging from 100-350php 😒. You definitely get the worth of your money 💰👍.

Lastly, in every restaurant, I am very much particular about the rest room. Just like what we commonly hear from our elders, "the cleanliness of the comfort rooms defines the character of the people living in it" and I apply that to restaurants as well. There were 2 rest rooms (i wish they'll have more in the future) and both are well maintained - definitely clean. There are only a few restaurants that I can name with clean rest rooms and Acacia Steakhouse is one of them. I will definitely go back 👍

Thank you for the complimentary mushroom soup (because one order did not arrive as requested). We didn't feel the mishap because of how you guys treated us that night - Great Customer Service. Despite that little mistake, this restaurant still deserves a 5 (highest star here in google).
