Ayame Japanese Restaurant -IL Corso — Restaurant in Cebu City

Food was good. Price was okay. Service was terrible! Waited for 52min for our order to be served. I called their attention to follow up on my order, but was ignored twice. It was only on the third time that they finally spoke to me. They even made a very lousy excuse for their delay saying that its because all the food being served are freshly cooked and not preserved unlike fast food, so an hour wait is typical. I have tried fine dining restaurants before but none made this excuse and the serving time at most is 20min. I don't see any manager walking around so that probably explains the lack of oversight.

If there was a zero star option for service, that’s exactly what I’d give. When we dined here, there were only two tables occupied, ours and one other but it still took almost 30 minutes for the food to be served. Don’t even get me started on the customer service. The staff looked like they didn’t want to be there, and when my friend asked a simple question about the food, one of them rolled her eyes and seemed visibly annoyed before walking away. Re-visited Ayame @ iL Corso and my dining experience really leveled up!

I was just invited the last time I dined there and I was not able to take some pictures.

This time I brought along my hubby, mom and big sister and we were all impressed on the food presentation, it's taste, it's service.

We ordered the family platter because it has gyoza, tempura, maxi and karaage.

We were seated outside because mom wanted to try Al Fresco dining and the ambiance made the food taste even better.
