Dessert Factory - IL Corso — Restaurant in Cebu City

The food and drinks we ordered were good but we were disappointed with the dessert (quite a significant disappointment because we were in Dessert Factory). We followed up on the Belgian waffles we ordered and at first we were told that it was not in our order but later on they said that it was. After 2-3 minutes the waffles were served but I was surprised when I took a bite because it was not warm, the inside of the waffle was cold and it did smell and taste a little off. It was edible so my kids and hubby consumed it, I just hope they will be ok. Tried asking the staff but she insisted that it was freshly prepared. We just told her to relay our feedback. It was the worst waffle I've ever tasted. I just wished I had insisted on returning it to the kitchen but I didn't want to cause any trouble.

Update: After a few hours my daughter realized that she did not have her bag with her and she went back to the store and she was so grateful that the store staff had placed it in a plastic bag with my name on it and just waiting for us to claim...

I’ve been a loyal customer of The Dessert Factory’s Ramos branch, but my recent visit to Il Corso branch was beyond disappointing. The supposed Factory Fudge was more like whipped cream in a cup than actual ice cream—absolutely the worst I've ever had. It felt like they shortchanged the ingredients, sacrificing quality for profit.

To make matters worse, the woman in a violet apron, who seemed to be the store manager (I visited on January 25, 2025, at 5:15 PM), was incredibly rude and treated customers unfairly. Her attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful, especially since I was casually dressed in jogging pants. It’s unacceptable to judge or treat customers differently based on their attire.

This experience was nothing like what I’ve come to love about the Ramos branch. Sadly, I won’t be returning to the Il Corso location. Quality and customer service should never be...

I was really excited to try the savory items at Dessert Factory, but I was disappointed. The bagel was soggy, clearly microwaved, and lacked any fresh texture. The smothered French fries were barely smothered, and the toppings had little to no flavor, making them a letdown.
