Hai Shin Lou at Marco Polo Cebu was an outstanding dining experience! We came to celebrate her birthday as a couple, and the restaurant made it feel truly memorable. The ambiance was elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxed and refined meal.

The food was absolutely fantastic! Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, from the dim sum to the seafood specialties. We especially loved the Peking duck, stir fried crab, steamed fish and the steamed prawns—they were fresh, tender, and bursting with authentic Cantonese flavors.

So good that we came back conservatively for dinner breakfast lunch and dinner again. (8k for dinner, 4k for lunch, 2k for dimsum, 7k for dinner again.)Worth the price for the live seafood.

The staff provided exceptional service, attentive without being intrusive, and they made excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. They even surprised us with a complimentary cake to celebrate, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Overall, Hai Shin Lou is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy top-notch Cantonese cuisine in Cebu. We'll definitely...

Had a lunch in this restaurant in Marco Polo

The ambience of the restaurant is typical of a Chinese restaurant. A little laidback and not so busy Thursday lunchtime.

The food selection at Hai Shin Lou is varied and the flavors are savory, but I didn't find anything that particularly stood out as exceptional. However, the dishes were still very tasty and satisfying. The menu offers a good range of classic Cantonese dishes, from dim sum to roasted meats to seafood.

I particularly enjoyed the prawn salad, sweet and sour pork and the roasted chicken. They had a lovely depth of flavor.

The service at Hai Shin Lou was a bit slow but friendly, with the staff always on hand to answer any questions and make recommendations. Our drink orders were taken first but served last, almost at the end of the meal.

Overall, I would recommend Hai Shin Lou for those seeking a good Cantonese dining experience. While there may not be any standout dishes, the food is...

We recently dined here and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The boneless chicken was cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful, making every bite a delight. The sweet and sour pork had that classic Chinese taste that we love, perfectly balanced between sweetness and tang.

The stir-fried beef with vegetables stood out with its tender, succulent meat and fresh, crisp veggies. The roasted pork, one of the highlights of the meal, was both crispy and juicy, delivering an incredible texture and taste.

We also tried their dim sum, which did not disappoint. Each piece was well-crafted and packed with flavor. The Yang Chow fried rice had a delightful smoky flavor that perfectly complemented the other dishes.

Overall, our family had a memorable dinner, enjoying every dish served. We will definitely be...

Hai Shin Lou is one of the newer Chinese restaurants in Cebu. As we entered the area for lunch, we had a fairly warm welcome by an elderly gentlemen who seemed like the owner of the establishment. Our family was seated in a private dining room suitable for 12 persons in a spacious round table. In what seemed like a busy Sunday morning, we ordered some dimsum to initially feed our hunger. Peking Duck was bountiful. Set B was an adequate choice for our family of 12. But these dishes only started being served fairly late already. We were expecting a more personalised service since we are in a private dining room. But a shortage of service crew meant that they couldn’t provide full attention. There seems to be a huge selection of menu choices, we will surely return hoping for smoother service flow next time.
