My dining experiences at Ori Izakaya in Cebu have consistently been superb, making it a favorite haunt for Japanese cuisine aficionados like myself. Tucked away on a picturesque hill, the restaurant boasts a charming ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience.

One of the standout features of Ori Izakaya is the generous serving sizes. From the mouthwatering maki rolls to the hearty katsudon, every dish is served with ample portions that leave you feeling satisfied. This, coupled with their very reasonable price point, makes dining here an excellent value for money proposition.

Speaking of the food, the maki rolls are a true highlight. Expertly crafted with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor, they never fail to impress. And let's not forget about the katsudon – a comforting classic that is executed flawlessly at Ori Izakaya. It's dishes like these that keep me coming back time and time again.

While Ori Izakaya may not be my absolute go-to Japanese restaurant, it has earned its place as a frequent haunt in my culinary repertoire. The combination of great food, pleasant ambiance, and reasonable prices makes it a standout dining destination in Cebu.

In conclusion, Ori Izakaya offers a superb dining experience that is sure to please even the most discerning palates. Whether you're a sushi lover, a fan of Japanese comfort food, or simply looking for a great meal at a reasonable price, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend giving it a try – you won't be...

Finally a good sushi bar near my home 🤍

My family came here on a Sunday late afternoon after church. There were only a few guests then so service was quite quick. Whilst eating, more and more guests arrive which immediately filled the restaurant - which means their food must be good for people to drive up and eat here as their location is not really central.

Food wise, loved the sushi! Although the rice is on the thicker side as mentioned in previous reviews - i didn’t really mind it! Everything was made fresh and all very tasty. We ordered, sofishtikated roll, dragon special roll, tempura, chicken teriyaki for my little girl and we were all honestly filled up! Everything was so goooood, I already want to go back!

Ambience is also good and even when we sat in the non-aircon area it was still cool & breezy.

My only thing is that they didnt have avocado. For sushi - this is quite a staple ingredient so a bit sad that all sushi rolls that were meant to have avocado - were unavailable :(

Otherwise, food is great. Service was very friendly and efficient. Would recommend to all my family...

PROCESSED FISH! Avoid at all costs! -We had dinner here a few weeks ago, and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. The food was absolutely horrible. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this experience demands one because people need to know what they’re walking into before wasting their hard-earned money on this so-called Japanese restaurant.

First of all, the sushi is overpriced, and for what? Processed fish. That’s right not fresh fish, which is the bare minimum you’d expect at a sushi place. In the pictures it might look nice and presentable, but don’t let that fool you. The sushi tasted like it had been sitting out for a week. We couldn’t even finish the meal because the taste was unbearable.

We had to call the staff over and to speak to the manager because something was clearly wrong. At first, they denied it, but after the manager finally admitted that the fish was not fresh and was in fact, processed!

This place is a disgrace to Japanese cuisine. Avoid it at all costs. Go literally anywhere else, your stomach and wallet...

Remarkably impressive dinner experience. After being seated, I immediately notice the casual fine dining ambiance of the place. Almost upscale but not stiff. Perfect place for an intimate and cozy gathering. I am more of a sashimi person, but I am amazed at their rolls that are mouthful sized and delicious as they are creatively presented. Equally impressive are their light flaky and tasty shrimp and vegetable tempura. I am allergic to shrimp but I did not miss out with their vegetable tempura. They have Japanese beer too! The whole experience was complemented with very courteous and efficient staff. I will definitely recommend this place to my discriminating friends who love Japanese food. I shall return.
