I recently dined at the Seoul Bibimbop, SM Seaside Food Court for the second time, and I must express my satisfaction with the quality of food offered at the Korean food stall. The food is not only cheap but also delivers generous portions with delectable taste.

On the evening of August 19, 2023, at approximately 8 PM, my family and I placed our orders at this establishment. However, I encountered a concerning issue during the transaction. The cashier appeared to be merely mimicking the process of entering my orders into the POS machine, an action that raised my suspicions.

Subsequently, I decided to augment my order with an additional item, incurring an extra charge of P79.00. The total bill amounted to P526.00, and the cashier handed me two receipts without my prior scrutiny. Regrettably, upon inspecting the receipts upon the arrival of our order, I discovered an inconsistency. The receipts accounted for only P20.00 (for a bottled water) and the aforementioned P79.00 addition, rendering an erroneous total.

Swiftly recognizing this discrepancy, I approached the cashier to request the issuance of the correct receipts. It was only upon my insistence that she genuinely registered my order and provided me with the accurate receipts. This unsettling incident highlights the potential for financial irregularities that could detrimentally impact the business's integrity.

Given my professional background as an auditor, I adhere to the practice of consistently demanding a receipt. This practice not only promotes transparency but also ensures the accurate recording of orders—a fundamental aspect of any reputable establishment.

I was with my sister and a close friend, ate there and ordered the ramen, kimchie fried rice and one other dish.
