A Great Stay at Funny Lion Coron!

From the moment we arrived, the experience at Funny Lion Coron was nothing short of fantastic. It a short ride away from the main town area which is what we wanted. The staff were incredibly attentive, always greeting us with warm smiles and making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The staff greeted us by our names every time they saw us during our stay.

The accommodations were cozy and comfortable — a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. It was easy to set up tours directly at the front desk, schedule massages on property and laundry service! We especially loved the little touches that made us feel so welcomed.

One of the standout features was the food. The menu was diverse, offering a delicious mix of local flavors and international favorites. We were able to order off menu for a custom, authentic Filipino meal. Every meal was a treat and the staff treated us very well. They were amazing and this establishment is very lucky to have them! Although tipping isn’t customary in other countries, be sure to tip them as a small token of appreciation. Even just a little goes a long way!

We stayed at The Funny Lion and ended up dining at Hunt multiple times, and each visit was better than the last. The vibe of the place is stylish yet relaxed, with warm lighting, friendly staff, and an atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home.

Let’s talk about the food: the burgers were absolutely fantastic – juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with great buns and generous portions. Whether you’re a burger lover or just craving something satisfying after a long day, you won’t be disappointed.

What completely blew us away though was the Flame Saturday buffet – an absolute must if you’re in Coron over the weekend. The variety, the quality, the live grilling stations… everything was top-tier. From mouthwatering meats to creative sides and sauces, it’s a full-on feast. The team puts so much thought and energy into every detail, and it shows.

Service was impeccable – always kind, quick, and professional, without ever feeling rushed. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about making your experience special.

What really elevated our experience was the exceptional service. A huge shoutout to Jimuel, Ef, Cyrine, and Lance—each one of them went above and beyond to ensure we felt taken care of. They truly made us feel like VIPs, with their warm and attentive service that added a personal touch to our meal. It's not every day you come across such a dedicated and friendly team!

We'd also like to express our sincere gratitude to Resort Manager Sir JB. His leadership and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our visit. The entire team, from start to finish, made this an unforgettable dining experience, and we can’t wait to return.
