Jims Castle Inn — Hotel in Coron

We loved the inn's perfect location - right in the heart of Coron town and just minutes away from all the popular spots! Just a heads up though, the road leading to the property is quite steep (both going up and down), but the peaceful surroundings made up for it with so many plants and cats and dogs that were obviously well taken care of.

The staff were absolutely wonderful - so warm and always ready to help. We really appreciated the 24/7 free coffee in the common area too! While the amenities were decent, we did notice a few things that could be better:

A Few Glitches During Our Stay:

Our bathroom window gave us quite a scare when it fell out completely as we tried to close it! Thankfully no one was hurt, and miraculously, the window survived the fall from the second floor unharmed.

The cabinets in our room looked like they've seen better days and could really use some sprucing up.

The WiFi was pretty hit-or-miss during our stay - great when it worked, but often weak or disconnected.

We were disappointed that our Agoda reservation for a family room with two double beds wasn't honored - we got one double bed and bunk beds instead, which wasn't ideal for our two couples.

Jim's Castle Inn has so much going for it - amazing location, super friendly staff - and with just a little more attention to room maintenance and reservation details, it could be absolutely perfect! We'd still recommend it, but maybe double-check your room assignment...

We stayed at Jim's Castle Inn for 10 days and had a wonderful experience overall. The rooms are clean and comfortable—simple, without many frills—but perfect if you just need a good place to rest after exploring Coron.

What really stood out was the service. The staff, especially the two friendly girls at the front desk, the cook, and the maintenance team, went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. They even installed a brand-new water heater for hot showers and provided an extension cord so I could work comfortably. That kind of effort says a lot about their commitment to guests.

WiFi was spotty at first, but it improved and worked reliably for most of our stay. Breakfast was always served on time, and we appreciated that consistency.

One thing to note: the inn is located on a hill, so getting up and down can be a bit of a workout—great if you're looking to add some cardio to your day, but not ideal for those with mobility issues.

The room is really clean and comfortable. Rooms are like those you see on photos. With white beddings, comforter, and pillows. ||The airconditioning unit works perfectly. The room does not smell old at all. It looks maintained. The cleanliness will help you sleep with ease. ||Hot and cold shower works perfectly as well. ||Free water is provided. They have a refrigerator outside of the room which you can use. Beverages are also available. ||They can provide breakfast for a fee unless it was included in your package. ||The staffs are helpful and courteous too. ||The place is not strategically located so you need to ride a tricycle to go to the market and other stores to buy your necessities. You need to walk/climb a little to go to the inn too. ||Because of its location, it is more quiet and peaceful unless other visitors would be too noisy to shout and chat out loud. ||Overall, I highly recommend this place because of the comfort it brings considering...
