The location is a bit far from the city(if your walking, that is) so there is not much to see outside or nearby. The place is clean and the ambiance was great, the restroom door window is frosted glass so your kinda visible if you stand too near. Seating is well arranged to maximize capacity and can take up to about 20 at full inside.
Food taste is good overall, we ordered beef with butter sauce, Hungarian sausage, Bacon sandwich, Pizza al diablo and Mango smoothie. The best one for me is the Mango smoothie.
The beef was tender and the butter sauce compliments the steak perfectly, default doneness is medium well to well done so you have to advise the waitress in advance if you like it differently. Overall taste is great. Bland for Filipino taste buds so I suggest requesting salt.
Next is the Hungarian sausage, this one taste really good. It is served with sauteed onions and you can pair it with a french bread, rice, fries or sauteed potatoes. Choose rice or bread for a satisfying sausage meal.
The bacon sandwich is nothing special though except for the sauce, which I think was spread too thin and the size of the bacon (bigger than the typical serving from other restaurants). It is served on the same french bread that you get with the Hungarian sausage.
The pizza was also really good, the tomato sauce and cheese topping tasted like lasagna which I really liked. The spicy chorizo is not that spicy so don't be too concerned if you can't handle spicy too well. The crust is ok but nothing special, also too crunchy at the crusts.
Lastly, the Mango smoothie. This is really really good and is a must to order when visiting. Perfect to finish every kind of meal specially on hot days.
As for the cost, it is a bit pricy compared to other restaurants in the island but personally, I think it's justified given the quality...
Read moreMyself and three others travelled to Island Brasserie Resort on the 21st of march, with the intention of staying 2 nights. Upon arrival at the stay we were met by two women at reception, they ignored us until we told them that we were staying and then began to help us. After 5 minutes of them looking at a computer whilst talking and LAUGHING. They told us that they only had 1 room available, despite us having booked 2 separate rooms. They continued to laugh at their mistake, providing no further option to resolve. I then had to ask them what we could do, and they told us, again laughing to eachother, that we would all have to sleep in the same room. 4 adults sleeping in one small double bed was their solution. After telling them this was ridiculous, and telling them to stop laughing, I again asked if there was another option, maybe a partner hostel we could stay in. The main reception women then called a hostel they were partnered with and told us there was another room available, however we had to pay extra for the room, on top of already paying for the original booking that had been double booked. At this point, the reception women were again laughing at us having to pay. This whole experience was a nightmare, and heavily inconvenienced us and our...
Read moreWe booked 2 rooms and they had overbooked so only had one room. The receptionists laughed as they told us we would have to sleep 4 adults in a small double bed. That was their solution. After a full 48 hours of travelling and 1 hour sleep we kindly asked them to not laugh at the situation and help us resolve. Their other option was to get us to pay at another hostel after already paying for the two rooms here. This was unacceptable as I work for a hotel and I’m more than aware that everyone can see if they’re overbooked or not for future days and it should be sorted. The breakfast options are also extremely limited for hostel stayers - it’s pancakes from a box or a bad omelette. The room that we got was ok - the bathroom was extremely cramped and the shower was open over the toilet meaning the whole bathroom was soaked and you couldn’t keep toilet paper in there. Receptionists also extremely loud and laughing at 5:30 in the morning...
