Botejyu SM Dagupan: A Delightful Japanese Dining Experience
My brother and I recently enjoyed a fantastic late lunch at Botejyu in SM Dagupan City. The experience was truly delightful, thanks to both the delicious food and the attentive service.
We ordered a variety of dishes: shrimp tempura, the Botejyu salad, and takoyaki. Each dish was cooked to perfection, delivering authentic Japanese flavors. The shrimp tempura had a light and crispy batter, the salad was a refreshing mix of greens and other ingredients, and the takoyaki were perfectly golden on the outside with a savory filling.
The staff at Botejyu were fantastic. They were polite, attentive, and ensured our dining experience was enjoyable. A special shoutout to Sammy and Ma’am Jess whose attentiveness truly made our lunch even more pleasant.

Read moreI recently dined at Botejyu Japanese Restaurant, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with traditional Japanese decor that set a warm and authentic tone.
I started with their signature Okonomiyaki, which was a standout dish. The savory pancake was loaded with a generous amount of ingredients and topped with a rich, tangy sauce. The balance of flavors was impressive, and the texture was just right.
For the main course, I opted for the Luxury ramen. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, though I found the portion size a bit modest for the price.
The service was attentive and friendly, although there was a slight delay in getting our orders. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations.
In terms of value, Botejyu is a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and the dining experience make it worth the visit. I would definitely return for another meal and recommend it to anyone craving authentic...
Read moreUnfortunately, has gotten a bit worse in a couple months. Before they used to greet customers with enjoyment and loudness. Now it's so underwhelming, low energy, and quiet. This was a non busy lunch hour yet it seemed like the service didn't have energy. The famous ramen is over salted. We ordered 3 different types of Ramen for my party and each one being a little too salty. Quite ashame. After paying the 5,600 pesos bill, they still want to charge me for 10 pesos after for one small container. The waiter staff are sometimes unaware. Often times having their back to their customers. So if there is only one waiter, it just takes much longer.
For the ammount of money, atmosphere, and previous experience, this one was much more disappointing.
The rice dishes, sushi, and other menu items are still good. Especially the bento boxes and tempura. Most of the food here is authentic, and one of the few restaurants that has that Japanese authentic taste. They need to fix the...
