Balik bukid is such a wonderful place in Davao City. They have a variety of to die for dishes in their menu, all prepared by their chef who is at the same time the owner of the resto. Their food is all organic, but are still reasonably affordable! I had a pan seared garlic malasugue and it was fantastic! Their home mafe ice cream is also a must try!
The place is cozy, a little of a fine dining atmosphere, but not the intimidating type. The walls are donned by paintings of local artists, the tables are uniquely improvised, the chandeliers are very nice with the traditional baskets from i dont know where.
The staff are very well trained, very kind, very professional, very helpful and are always ready to serve!
They have a band who plays local and indigenous songs, perfect accompaniment to the atmosphere of the place. They have a souvenir shop if you want to buy pasalubongs. They also have a three storey tree house if you want a romantic dining experience with your loved one.
Overall, I am very very please with Balik Bukid. Truly one of my favorites...

SERVICE: Was excellent! Pagdating na pagdating mo doon aalukin ka agad ng tubig and will also asked you if you wanted it served warm or cold. Anytime, you can ask assistance their staff cause they are so approachable.
INTERIOR: They have these artistic paintings mounted on their walls. Mga recycled materials din ginamit nila some parts of the chairs. Untique things are also visible, may plantsang luma pa nga that really caught my attention (balik bukid nga talaga).
FOOD: Very affordable and worth the price! 👍🏻😉 THUMBS UP sa order ko na "Tsokolate Island" ang sarap! 🤤

It has a tree house for viewing, with a top deck that has its own stove and water for small group cook-out. The kind owner is also the Chief Chef.
