We had a big family meal here with 10 people, they handled it easily. My mom wanted to eat here because she said it’s Duterte’s favorite restaurant. We ordered 8 main dishes: clam soup, raw tuna kinilaw, crispy pata, adobo tuna tail, pan-fried tuna belly with tausi, pinakbet, shrimp in gata, and fried chicken. Everything was good, but my favorite was the crispy pata. This place has an excellent variety of dishes, the quality is well above average and it’s very affordable. I only had a few minor comments. Mangrove clams have more meat than other clams, which was too much for me. Make sure you like that sort of thing before ordering that dish. The shrimp in gata could have been plated in a more appetizing way. We were full by the time it came out and it got passed around without enthusiasm. I also ate their halo-halo, which was tasty, but I sort of liked the version I got at a chain restaurant more. The last comment is that the restaurant was noisy. There’s nothing to absorb sound anywhere, so it is quite jarring for someone sensitive to sound. I wish I had brought earplugs. Overall, I...

Another spot for seafood lovers who are travelling to Davao City. Although price-wise, this place is a bit expensive compared to other local seafood restaurants, but Yellow Fin has something unique which other restaurants couldn't offer.

They have a wide range selections of seafood dish, during our visit I got to try their Gambas, fresh imbao soup, grilled tuna belly, tuna bagaybay, and ofcourse tuna kinilaw.

First-time visitors to Davao are often intrigued by this Bagaybay, it is actually a tuna sperm. They can be fried to a crisp and served with calamansi. They sometimes call it the “foie gras of the sea” because it’s rich and delicious. I think Yellow Fin is one of the few restaurants who serves this unique dish.

Make sure Yellow Fin Restaurant is one of your a must-try places to visit when you're...

It took two hours for our food to arrive. I had to constantly wave my hands to get servers attention. I had to go out to the reception area three times for us to get service. Yes it was Mother's Day. However they were not overly crowded. We arrived at 12:50. Our reservations were at 1:00 p.m. We were a party of eight. People at adjacent tables came, were served, ate their food and left in the time it took for our drink orders to arrive. That took an hour. We had four different servers. Some of whom were discourteous and disrespectful. As I told the staff who were eating their lunch while we waited for ours, I would have been embarrassed if I was them. In fact I was embarrassed for the lady who had come in from the country to greet her new son in law and celebrate Mother's day. Only to be treated...

I came to Davao just to have tuna here, after I saw it on Mark Wiens' video. Walked here straight from the bus terminal which is just opposite the restaurant. First of all, best kinilaw I have ever tried in the Philippines. They have half ripen mango in it which is unique, and they drain all the liquid away prior to serving making the dish taste very fresh. The ten hours bus ride from Butuan just for this was worth it. I wish I could give the restaurant five stars but everything else they sell by weight, there's a limit of 400 gr minimum order, and as I was there alone, there was no way to finish that by myself so I wish they offered a smaller portion as everything was geared towards groups of three or four people.

The food is exceptionally tasty and fresh with prices that don't break the piggy bank. This would be the place to have your fill of adobo bagaybay, the sperm sac of the male tuna cooked in soy sauce, mangga (mango) salad in shrimp sauce, shrimps cooked in crab paste and stewed beef lengua (ox tongue). The casual ambience let's you walk in in your comfy clothes and enjoy a fine meal without having to worry about what you'd be seen in because everyone else wears the same comfy clothes too! Staff speak well and they are attentive and informative when you ask about items in the menu. Highly recommended for the good food and service!
