We visited Blue Lotus Sky View Restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and overall, it was a good experience, especially for special occasions.

Here’s a breakdown of what stood out:

•Ambience and Atmosphere The location and ambience are definitely the highlights of Blue Lotus. The place has a sophisticated yet inviting vibe, making it perfect for celebrations. They also had a lounge singer, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels upscale but remains affordable.

•Service and Staff The staff were accommodating and attentive. A unique touch we noticed was their birthday celebration tradition—they sing for celebrants and provide a small birthday cake. We didn’t inform them in advance about my mom’s birthday, but after we sang “Happy Birthday” ourselves, the staff approached us to join in and offered the cake after my mom presented her ID. This thoughtful gesture added to the festive mood.

•Food and Pricing The food was okay—nothing extraordinary, but satisfying. The serving time was reasonable; we didn’t have to wait long. For 8 people, we spent around ₱4,000–₱5,000, which felt reasonable for the occasion. While we’re not big eaters, the portions were enough to fill everyone.

•Reservations and Crowd The restaurant seems to be popular for celebrations, as it was fully booked during our visit. I recommend making a reservation beforehand to secure a table. Be prepared for a lively atmosphere with multiple birthday celebrations happening at once.

Located at the rooftop of the hotel which is easily accessible via the elevator at the lobby. It is spacious and can accommodate a lot of people. They can also accommodate a private event for a group, though there’s no separate private space (unless you reserve all seats maybe). The food was tasty, and you can see that the guests are dining for special occasions like birthdays or anniversary. We went there early and it was not crowded yet but come dinnertime, a lot of people arrived one by one. It can also be pricy, unless you went there on a weekend for the buffet. Beef Rendang - the cheapest piece of soup meat with fat, tendons and veins cut into wild pieces, cooked for too long and reheated. The potatoes tasted old (overcooked). Beef in Black Pepper Sauce - Beef, see above, the sauce almost bound to jelly, probably mixed together from semi-finished products, there was no black pepper to be seen or tasted! Service - both dishes were served 10 minutes apart, both only lukewarm, which meant that the first one served was already cold by the time we started the meal. No apology from the staff!
