For Day 6 post-simbang gabi brekky adventure, beshy Google pointed me towards Bramble. It was nowhere near a prickly experience. 😜
My first visit was with high school friends years ago and it was also for breakfast. Didn't savor the experience becaise it was literally an eat-and-run thing. It was our first stop over in an out-of-town travel. (I think? 😆)
My second visit was worth it.
The place looked better than before. I think they did some reno. (Ang tagal na nga nung first visit) Or, maybe I didn't notice because it was a rushed first visit.
Anyway, I took my sweet time this time.
I got Korean sesame chicken. I gave my waiter my two options and asked him what he would recommend. Guess what the other option was? You guessed it! Bangus. 🦈 Baked bangus, actually, but it's still bangus.😆😆😆 I actually whispered "Thank God" when he chose the chicken. 🤣 The dish was a tasty experience. I loved the sesame seeds, of course. What I loved most, aside from the deliciously fried chicken fillet, were the green beans they call edamame. My first taste of it. Loved it.😋 It was a rather heavy dish. 😁
It didn't stop moi from giving myself an extra treat. The female staff at the pastry counter recommended chocolate lamington, which, according to beshy Google, is an Aussie classic. It was a huge slice, so I took my sweet time again. 😄 It was really good. 👍👍
It was almost a two-hour stay at Bramble and it was good.
[Yes, they had good music, too. ❤️🎵❤️ and their staff are pleasant...
Read moreBramble in Davao is a standout spot for those who appreciate good food served in an atmosphere that feels straight out of a Wes Anderson film. The café is beautifully designed with pastel tones, vintage accents, and a cozy layout that makes it instantly Instagrammable. Whether you’re dining solo or catching up with friends, the ambiance sets the tone for a relaxed and refined brunch experience.
We ordered the eggs benedict and the chicken and waffles—both of which were superb. The eggs were perfectly poached, served over a buttery base with just the right touch of tangy hollandaise, while the chicken and waffles offered a delicious contrast of crispy, savory, and sweet. Every bite felt carefully crafted and satisfying.
Pricing is on the higher side, but the quality of the food and the ambiance make it a worthwhile treat. This isn’t your everyday café—it’s a place you go to enjoy a thoughtfully plated meal in a setting that feels both luxurious and comforting.
Service was excellent, with attentive and polite staff who made sure everything was served promptly and with a smile. Bramble is a must-visit in Davao for anyone looking for elevated comfort food in a uniquely...
Read moreOn our first visit my husband had the sausage (no pic, devoured right away lol) and I got the shakshuka. The shakshuka is an absolute delight esp for people who love the tangy taste of tomatoes. During my second visit, my friends and I ordered the truffle fries (reminds me of the truffle chips from Italiannis), the korean sesame chicken (big serving! We had to cheer our friend on to finish her food!), chicken and waffles (another ginormous serving!), croque madame (such a beauty on a plate), burger steak (earned topmarks from our friend!), and for the life of me I forgot the name of the dish I ordered but twas the pasta and meatballs dish. As a big eater, I must admit I was not able to finish my plate! The meatballs were huge and tasty. The pasta was thick, I forgot to ask the name of the pasta but it surely made me full faster. Of course such beautiful and sumptuous dishes were a wee bit on the costly side BUT totally worth every peso! If you have a small appetite, each dish (well, at least the ones we ordered) may be shared. The place was brightly lit and I love it, makes the place look fresh and clean. Overall, a great and filling experience and will surely...
