Coco's South Bistro — Restaurant in Davao City

Here with my wife and baby girl, we got the bistro chicken plain rice and vegetables excellent meal, the medium american pizza was very good not great, French fries very good, Lasagna rolls ok would not get them again because cheese isn't that good and no ricotta cheese it's an ok I give it, and drinks citrus and herbs great drink got the watermelon was horrible tasted like dirty water. Overall the place great atmosphere great service food some great some not. I'm an Italian American with my Philippino wife and daughter. Also, asked to get the pizza to be boxed just be aware it's 20 peso charge. That's fine with me easy, just let u all know and be prepared the meals are all pricey not an issue for us but be ready for the prices. It has plenty of parking space, that's for sure. But food wise? I would say it's a little below average. The stake is a bit bland but can be improved through seasonings (we can't really feel the rosemary on their rosemary stake). The java rice is like a rice with chicken oil; it needs seasoning. The ambiance is a bit dark :( I can't appreciate their nice interior. Staff are good but can be better through training in the hospitality industry.

It would be best if the owner and the chef would invest in researching the current trends and techniques in food...

Ordered fish & chips with apple crumble to follow. They brought both together so I sent back the dessert to the kitchen. Fish was pale and tasteless, obviously came from a frozen packet. Came with potato crisps so I requested french fries, but also frozen with no seasoning. Apple crumble was good, but too big compared to the small amount of cream. Mango smoothie okay and café latte good. Presentation of food not worth the price, even though service was good.
