The trip starts the moment you enter the restaurant. The decoration makes you feel welcome and home. Then you open the menu and start reading. Unlike other restaurants here each and every meal is described and often the historic background explained. So you will not be left in the dark and finally order what you can read and understand but order a variety of dishes to try and off you go - the trip is on!

If you are still unclear you can always ask the friendly and helpful staff or the dutch owner himself who is always there to help and entertain. In most places in the Philippines, the restaurant manager don't move and work anymore. That's here different - you can feel the hands-on management and interest of making guests happy and satisfied - successfully!

Had dinner here last night. Arrived at around 6pm on a Tuesday night. One of the first customers there so got a parking space inside. But please note there are only a few parking spaces. So how was the place and food. The place was very nice with a lot of Dutch items dotted around the restaurant which also added to the great look of the place. The food menu was large.. we did phone ahead and ask what was on or off the menu. On that night most of the dishes were available so we all were able to get what we ordered off the menu. The steaks where very good.. as was the rest of the food. Maybe the salmon was a little over cooked.. so best to ask the chef to cook light if you prefer it that way. I did order bitterballen.. and... Well was a posh version of the Dutch cheap snack we all so love:).. they were filled with very tender beef.. lovely. They also have an extensive desert menu.. the Dutch apple pie was very good. The service was first rate with all the staff very accommodating. Thanks for a lovely dinner. Our Norwegian client said it was the best food he had been to in Davao.... For this type of food...

De Bonte Koe, European Restaurant Absolutely disappointing wait staff, untrained. Please train your waitstaff. How can you charge these prices when your wait staff does not know the difference between a blue steak and a mid rare steak? Semi ok meal though but disappointing service.

If the person discourages you from ordering a mid rare steak because it’s bloody, they do not know that the standard is typically mid rare. If that’s how the customer likes it, don’t question it. If for you a mid rare steak is bloody then it indicates to the customer that the chef does not know how to cook. So which is which? The chef sucks or your service staff has no idea what they are talking about? It’s not even blood that’s there even if the steak is blue, it’s just water and myoglobin. The staff was so disappointing that I will never patronize this restaurant even though I live just right...
