TGI Friday's - Abreeza Mall — Restaurant in Davao City

The staff who guided us to our table was very accommodating. The table arrangement is too small to fit six people especially if you're ordering several viands However, we requested an additional table since we had quite a few dishes and drinks, but the staff declined and assured us everything would fit on the two tables provided. We accepted that, though it felt a bit cramped. One issue we encountered was that after about 15 minutes, a waiter started clearing our plates without asking. It would have been more courteous if they had asked first—something like, “Ma’am, are you done with these/ Is it okey to dish out?” before clearing the table. Siguro naman po all your waiters undergo seminar or training. Nag dish out na po kayo while my colleague is still eating pa. Until plate nlng niya ang iniwan mo. Hindi na nya tinapos yung pagkain nya kasi nagmamadali po kayo. Wag naman ho kayong bastos. After that we settle our bill para po makaalis na kami agad. The place is nice, the food was nice but the price is not affordable naman po, alam natin yan. Considering the prices on the menu, we expected a more attentive and customer-focused service. While the food and speed of service were acceptable, the overall experience didn’t quite match the value we were paying for. Small details in service, like communication and flexibility, make a big difference when you're dining as a group. This was a lunch meal. I started out asking the server if it was possible to add a la carte item to my set meal. The server told me that is was not possible because they did not have a method to ring it in the computer. I asked her not to make that decision but please consult the kitchen. It was just a sausage that I was requesting. She went to the kitchen and returned with the same answer. I asked to speak to a Manager. They promptly brought out the Manager Cleo. I again explained my request to her. I also informed her that I review for Google and Trip Advisor, at that point she said she would speak to the kitchen and see what she could do. While waiting for the Manager to return with the decision, I sent my lunch back because the rice and vegetables were served cold. The manager returned with my microwaved warmed lunch and informed me that the kitchen could cook the sausage for me at a rate of 279 pesos per link. I agreed to this and when the sausage arrived it was excellent and I no longer felt that I needed to take out a small loan to afford it. The manager Cleo was very accommodating. Absolutely disappointing! First of all, they do not have adequate staff. Initially someone came after 10 mins to say that he was the server but actually multiple people served multiple items and he served only the first item. This is a fine dining but there was nothing fine about it. It took 20 mins to have our two drinks arrive. And the main dishes came sporadically in 10 mins intervals.. Two of us never had our main meals served together. I understand that this is the Philippines but if they charge the same price and actually more than USA, they better provide similar service to USA branches. After all, labor is cheaper in the Philippines. I was fed up after 1 hour 30 mins into dining and wanted to have my bill and they never remembered to bring the dessert for my friend. I called them and asked about the dessert and the guy, that said that he was the server cam and asked if she wanted the dessert now... Duh.. When then?
