Their serving is huge. For someone who works out and is trying to lose weight, this is not the place. Lol. Serving time is quite long. i waited for my 2 meal orders, and it took 25 to 30 minutes. There are plenty of choices in their menu but not confusing. There is nothing special with their cesar salad, just like the typical one. Carne de Arozz is good, the beef is tinder, and it compliments in the mexican rice, and the pink thing they put on top of it is delicious with the Lettuce. I may not like or dislike the soup, Caldo De Albon. That might be because I'm not used to mexican food. But for someone who loves mexican food, this is the place. The food is NOT spicy. And they accept Cards. The service! though, it is quite not good. The gay guy did not repeat my order. That might be the reason it took for a while because he had to go back after 10 minutes and ask me again what my order was. The lesbian girl took the tissue holder in my table and transferred it to the other table. Without telling me she would take it, she did replace it WHEN I asked her why she took it. Very bad. Also, they don't have the initiative o approach the group of BPO peps dining who are so loud, its like a palengke in a dining area. They could have asked them to minimise the voices because they were already disturbing the other customers. Will recommend the food but not the service. Haven't tried SM ecoland branch, though.

Located in 2nd Floor, SM Lanang Premier. Infront of Gerry's Grill, going to Sky Garden. I was so excited to try their food, correct me if I am wrong but I guess this is the first pure mexican theme restaurant in davao. Some of the food on their menu is affordable and some are not. We ate here for our lunch. We ordered one each of all empanadas, el pollo tacos set, rosalinda, paloma, enchilada, chimichanga and caldo de albondigas. our bill was around 1300, that's for 3 person. We had to bring home one dish since we were not able to touch it because we're already full. Cash only. Adequate tables and chairs to accomodate customers up to 25-30. Nice interior design, and they serve only few minutes after we order. The empanadas was good. 5/5 The rest was okay. 3/5

Tonala in SM Lanang offers a delightful dining experience. The serving sizes are generous, and the flavors are impressive. I ordered the enchiladas and chimichangas, both of which were sumptuous. My husband enjoyed the carne de arroz, while I had the pollo de arroz; the chicken was crispy, though I wished for a bit more spice in the herb seasoning, and the sides leaned a bit too cheesy for my taste. I absolutely loved my Rosalinda drink made with guava—it was incredibly refreshing. The restaurant has a cool, new vibe that enhances the overall experience. Highly recommend! It's a plus that they have other options for their mode of payment. We will definitely come back!

The food was good as usual, I've been dining here sa tonala ever since they opened their SM Lanang branch. But the food price increase was crazy, before their 'El Pollo Taco' was less than 170 pesos for 3 pieces, now, it's 240. Aside from that, my main problem is how bad their customer service. I politely asked if their 'Beef Relleno' was purely beef and halal — just to make sure since I am a Muslim, and the staff rolled his eyes on me and answered me rudely with "Obviously, that's beef Ma'am." I don't understand the need to rude in answering a genuine question for clarification. On top of that, their food service took way too long AS PER USUAL.

All in all,

The food is undeniably great at some aspect, but the customer service and price...
