I stayed and participated for a 2-week straight event in Park Inn last March 22 to March 31. It was a very nice experience. I felt secured, happy and satisfied overall with their support and accommodation. I would like to highlight one story that I wish everyone especially the management of Park Inn to know:
The staff are super accommodating and supportive. For my case who has a serious diet restriction, I was hoping they will serve the correct food for me. These were all addressed with the help of one effective and caring staff named Nino. Nino was so kind enough to attend to my needs. He was so attentive, patient, and very responsive to my requests. He has a very nice personality, working attitude and values that are actually manifesting on his services. I would definitely want to see him on my next stay in Park Inn. I just hope Park Inn will continue trust him, and give him the job, as he is a great asset to the team.
I also felt the same proactiveness and effective spirit from every single staff of Park Inn. From the lady guard (forgot the name; but her duty is from 8am to 8pm) who just gives me a positive energy because of her friendly tone and attitude whenever she checks my QR code or my things before entering the premises. There was even a time where she supported our elderly colleagues by providing instruction in assembling the face-shield. She was so kind as well to help us locate our driver at the carpark because we cannot contact him via phone. I would also love to see her again on my next stay!
Overall I had a beautiful experience with some minor issues like poor WIFI, complicated TV set-up, and bland food at some cases. I believe this can still be enhanced or addressed, and I am hoping the management will provide time and opportunity for everyone to improve their service. In the time of pandemic, I am grateful and counting small acts of kindness shown to me. That is why I am grateful with Nino, lady guard, and fellow staff who has given their best to support me and my colleagues on our 2 weeks stay.
Lastly, this goes to the management hoping to provide their staff the “reward” that they deserve, in exchange of their hardwork and the reason why I would want to go back and continue patronizing Park Inn. If not for them, I do not think I would go back again. 😊
Thanks...
Read moreWe booked directly to the hotel reservations and they secured us a very good rate for the best room type of a Suite. This was very good value for money as for our long stay between me and my boyfriend, having lots of space would feel like a home away from home.|We had 2 toilets, 2 extra pillows from my request, a bathtub AND a shower (only for suites, standard rooms have a shower only.)||Breakfast had pancakes, hot foods, rice, bacon/fried egg upon request, cereals, cold/hot drinks, lots of fruits and breads. My boyfriend did have a complaint on 1 morning where a chef was reluctant to serve him the cooked bacon/eggs. Subsequent days had no issues. |One major complaint is the internet can be unreliable for a few seconds or very slow. This was in contrast to other popular hotels in the city. This did retract our experience as me and my boyfriend do love to watch films and shows on the room TVs via a HDMI cable/laptop. ||Housekeeping staff on our floor was mainly Alile and Nicole. Both ladies were wonderful to see almost everyday and we gave them our preference of what time to clean our room and they both work very hard. As we stayed for almost 3 weeks, it was comforting seeing familiar faces and both those ladies should be recognised. ||Also, the smaller toilet room of our suite had a faulty lock and my boyfriend was trapped inside for 10minutes before freeing himself. After that, we did report to house-keeping and did not use that lock again. ||I did appreciate our Suite was fully carpeted, most hotels here have rooms with tiles/laminated flooring. Carpet was a nice luxury.|For a few months apparently, the gym was not completed yet and I had to use the small gym within a standard guest bedroom, which was not great if someone else was in there already. ||Overall, Park Inn is one of the best hotels of Davao City. The bridge on the 2nd floor connecting it directly to the entrance of the SM Lanang Mall is THE huge perk that no other hotel have that convenient direct connection. The hotel's location is situated near many attractions like People's Park, the 2 main malls of SM Lanang and Abreeza, Crocodile Park etc... |I would highly recommend getting a reservation directly with the hotel to get exclusive discounted room rates and a chance to try out...
Read moreWe have booked a Suite room which featured a huge king bed, 2 TVs, 2 sofas, 2 toilets, lots of space and a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub (bathtubs are only in suites and not a standard room). The Suite here is the biggest room of the hotels in Davao.
Rooms are provided with only 2 pillows but the hotel has accommodated our request for 2 extra pillows. The bed is comfortable to sleep on, as are the soft sofas. Water pressure is decent and hot water does quickly arrive in the shower.
Room service has been lovely, with staff always greeting the guests. Special mention to Alile, our main room service provider on our floor. She works very hard and she is very friendly. A lovely person to see everyday during our stay.
We did have a few issues during our stay. I have been to Davao for the past 3 years during summer in different hotels. This hotel's internet has been the slowest and most unreliable when comparing to my previous hotel stays. The smaller toilet had a lock that was faulty in a sense that you could risk accidentally locking yourself in from the inside. Luckily my partner was able to fix the issue and release himself from the room.
My partner has mentioned one chef during breakfast service, had been reluctant in wanting to serve when he was asked to cook something for him, such as fried eggs and bacon. On one occasion, he never received the bacon.
Following from similar reviews this year, the gym still hasn't been completed as the temporary gym is still in place. This is located within 1 standard guest room and features only 1 bench for strength training. This is inconvenient when another guest is using the place.
Overall, I am satisfied with my stay here. A few things were frustrating like the internet connection and certain attitudes from a breakfast chef. Yet the overall pleasant attitudes of the other staff, and the convenient walk-bridge connecting the hotel to the shopping center next to it, comfortable Suites rooms, clean environments....does mean I would recommend this hotel, as it is one of the best hotels in Davao and the size of their Suites...
