Just happen to drop by for lunch, and here are my thoughts:
Food - I ordered maguro sashimi, ebi tempura, and gyudon. The sashimi is good, but not that tasty as a fresh sweet fish meat if you're a sashimi lover. The ebi tempura is cooked well, and the texture of the batter and shrimp is good . It would be better if they could really copy the once in Japan. The thing that makes it off is the saltiness of the batter of the shrimp, while the paired sauce (tentsuyu) is salty as well. I suggest you add raddish and a little sweetness to the sauce. The gyudon is okay. The beef is okay, so as the taste. I think they just need to add just a little more gyudon sauce to make it more flavorful with the beef and raw egg.
Service is good, but I agree to some comments that it takes time to order, which is acceptable for me. Just don't eat there if you are very hungry and want a fast food TAT.
The atmosphere is good. it's just that it's a little hot inside when I got in. I think they have to do something with the AC, considering that they have glass walls, which is kinda hot during noon.
So far, it is still acceptable. Maybe my timing is not good since my first experience in this branch before was...
Read moreWe visited Tsuru’s Juna branch close to their 9PM closing time, arriving around 8:15PM. Despite that, the staff welcomed us warmly and didn’t make us feel rushed at all which we truly appreciated.
The place is clean, well-maintained, and has clearly stood the test of time. The team was friendly and seemed genuinely happy with their work, which added to the overall positive vibe.
As always, the food was consistently delicious and served fast. Special mention goes to our server, Stone, who was very attentive, pleasant, and accommodating. A couple of items we ordered weren’t available, but this was explained in such a thoughtful and reassuring way, plus alternatives were offered right away. Tsuru should definitely give Stone a shoutout for the excellent service.
More power to Tsuru Juna! It’s always a reliable spot where we feel we get our money’s...
Read moreThis restaurant is a combination of two more restaurants namely Hanoi (Vietnamese) and Leticia (Filipino). Having said that, one can cross order from each of the shops. These restaurants are conveniently located around Juna Avenue and are very accessible to the public. Their dishes are good if one is looking to satisfy their Japanese, Vietnamese or Filipino food cravings all in one go. Their menu has English in it and they accept local and foreign...
