I’ve visited Laoag City a thousand times, but this is the first time I’ve come across a restaurant that truly fits my diet. It’s a great spot for health-conscious individuals like me. I visited last year with my son—who’s not usually a fan of vegetables—and surprisingly, he really enjoyed their food options. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality and health benefits definitely make it worth it.
What I didn’t like, however, is the location. It’s tucked away and not very accessible, so it was quite hard to find. We had to rely on Google Maps just to get there. You also need to place your order in advance, as they work on a pre-order and booking system, and the restaurant can only accommodate a limited number of guests. We were seated outside, so I’m not sure what the interior looks like, but the place had a cozy, homey vibe.
Another downside is that it’s difficult to call the staff when you need something—they’re not always readily available. Considering the price, I wish the service was a bit more attentive. Still, the food’s nutritional value and overall quality make up for the few inconveniences. It’s definitely a must-try for anyone who values healthy eating. Highly...
Read moreWent to Arubayan/Good Vibes Cafe for the first time before the Holy Week. We booked a week before and also ordered in advance. The food was awesome --we ordered the itinerary. I especially loved their La Virgen pasta and the drinks. The kids loved the sandwiches too. There is a complimentary tea made of fresh lavender leaves.
The arubayan is a small place, but I totally love the ambience. You have to leave your shoes before getting on the "dap-ayan", it was a hot sunny day but the trees around made the air much cooler. There are hammocks where you can relax and read a book while they cook your food. It's also self service, you need to clean up before leaving as a courtesy. Loved the set-up and service.
We will be...
Read moreThe place is just across the Museum of Laoag. It is a cozy 16-seater restaurant with accommodating staff. They serve farm-to-table dishes which are all delectable. It was a but pricey but it's worth the value. The interior is also instagrammable with nice mix of opm and soft music playing. I ordered their chicken fillet and they didn't only have brown rice with it, but my favorite black rice. The dill sauce is also an amazing partner to the chicken strips together with the corn and carrot salad with edible flowers. I also liked their Mulberry-Banana shake also their coffee jelly dessert, which they served as a complimentary dessert. That's because I arrived 20 minutes before they...
