The property is accessible via public transportation as there is a trike terminal a couple of meters from the place. You can even wave at the trike drivers to pick you up from the property. The local tourist spots like the Capitol, Public Market, Sinking Bell Tower, and the Museum are just a 5-10 minute walk away. And so are banks, pharmacies, and other establishments.
Rooms are spacious and are priced reasonably (affordable for it's quality, I must say). You may want to limit your luggages to the ones you can carry as there are no ramps (as far as i know) nor an elevator. Though this, their staff will be very much willing to carry your luggage for you upon checking-in.
Their team is one of the warmest I've encountered. Very much willing to assist and accommodate any request (Three members of their team took their time and helped me figure out a restaurant I've been looking for only to find out it closed during the lockdown.) you may have.
Breakfast is from 0700 to 0900 and typically consists of a cup of rice, fried egg, a local viand, and a pack of instant coffee. This will get you through however, should you wish to eat elsewhere, a handful of Pinoy go-to fast food chains and local food places are just a stone's throw away.
Although we have relatives in the nearby barangays, this will by my family's go-to place...
Read moreThere are two parts to this hotel. The older 70s-looking building on the west side of Gen Segundo Ave (next to Jollibee), and the newer 90s-looking curvy building on the east side. I stayed in the older one for two nights. The room was small. Very small - with barely enough room to put a suitcase on the floor.||||The bathroom was tiny too, although the shower was ok. Only soap is supplied, so take your own shower gel and shampoo.||||The included breakfast was 'set' - no choice: luncheon meat, fried egg and rice. For my second morning I decided to go for fast food instead - there are plenty of outlets to choose from within a few minutes walk.||||I did see one of the rooms in the rather nicer looking building on the other side of the street, but that room didn't really look much better if at all.||||Would I stay again? Probably not. I wanted to stay in the centre of Laoag and there are no stand-out hotels there. If I return, I'll stay slightly further out.||||There was no safe in the room.||||There was free parking and the security guy was helpful when it came to reversing out on to the main road. Also, the hotel has its own laundry service which was very...
Read moreBooked a room for 2 nights. Initially stayed at the older building on the 1st night, then allowed to transfer to the newer building on the 2nd night. |1. Staff were nice and accomodating. Helpful with our needs. Gave recommendations on where to go for tourists. We were allowed to check-in as early as 6am (probably due to the circumstances that day, but thanks!).|2. I'd say the location was great because it's in the city center and walking distance to most of the places you can go in Laoag. We barely used public transpo within the city. We just walked to where we were going. Moreover, it is near many fast food places and other stores. Try out Elvie's empanada near the hotel (best one so far from those I've tried).|3. The room was smaller than expected (old building), but the one we transferred to in the newer building was better and bigger (though same style), and bigger comfort room.||Generally, ok if you are on a budget or can stay at a...
