Alicia's Restaurant is a must-visit establishment for those seeking to indulge in the iconic La Paz Batchoy. During our visit, I was pleased to discover that despite my dietary restrictions, I could still savor their flavorful beef La Paz Batchoy. The combination of the rich broth, tender beef, and the provided chili oil created a perfect harmony of flavors that left me wanting more. It's a dish I would gladly return for in the future.
In addition to the La Paz Batchoy, we also tried their chicken inasal, a popular Filipino dish known for its juicy and savory flavors. The chicken was well-marinated and cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. While some parts of the chicken had slightly charred areas, which may not appeal to everyone's taste, the overall taste and texture were commendable.
It's worth noting that Alicia's Restaurant follows a carinderia-style setup, so those with more refined preferences should be prepared for a casual dining experience. However, despite its casual ambiance, the restaurant is air-conditioned, ensuring a comfortable...
Read moreWe craved for batchoy so of course we went to Alicia’s and had my usual pancit, hubby prefers the bihon and then sometimes sotanghon or bihon for our son too. The place is so clean and is usually filled either tourists and celebrities! We were lucky to have arrived at an off peak hour though, we were able to get seated immediately. As you can see in the pictures, they gave us FREE kansi. Yes, you heard it right - FREE - as long as there’s one available. Also couldn’t resist not pairing the batchoy with the famous coconut puto (rice cake)! The batchoy is unli sabaw too and for just ₱130 (I think, sorry I forgot), busog lusog ka na. There’s also chili sauce for you in case you want yours with a kick! The taste is different from the one we grew up with though but that might be the “classic taste” they refer to in their tagline - “Bring back the classic taste of Ilonggo batchoy!” Well thank you Alicia’s giving us a glimpse of the old Iloilo. Overall, amazing experience!...
Read moreIntroduced by a local to have batchoy, noodle in soup, a signature food in Iloilo, Alicia's is highly recommended.
Around 10 car parking spaces in front of the shop. Easy to find and convenient.
A warm welcoming waiters and/or waitress to serve, efficient servicing, very reasonable price are what I like in Alicia's.
I brought alone my son to Iloilo, he likes Alicia's so much, almost asking me to bring him eat its soup noodle.
For me, personally, soup is a bit salty. Overall, noodle texture is chewy and ingredients are matched plus tasty. According to local people, if we can wake up early and arrive the restaurant 6am, you need to queue up long and get the best batchoy and soup in the morning. Customers use to eat in the...
