A lot of hotel guests/walk in diners have balked at the steep prices of Savoy Cafe. The prices in the menu do not include Government taxes, but service charge is waived.
Yes, food here is on the expensive side. But once you get your order, you will understand why food is pricey here - servings are generous.
For instance, the Bibimbap I ordered came as a surprise. It doesn't come in a bowl, but in a platter! At Php300++ this is very reasonable, considering that two people can share this. Taste wise and value for money I highly recommend this Korean favorite.
Sandwiches too are a steal. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich for Php240++ and I couldn't finish the whole thing. I had the other half wrapped, to be eaten at a later time. Have to warn you though that if you're not fond of anything on the sweet side, go for the Clubhouse Sandwich instead, for Php385. I found the Cebuana Humba (Php396) also on the sweet side with a strong Star Anise taste.
Since it's still pandemic, they dont serve breakfast buffet. If you're a hotel guest, the plated breakfast is passable, with a basket of bread and generous butter & jam, unlimited brewed coffee and a plate of available fruits. Any hotel breakfast that serves unlimited good coffee is heaven for me. So I'm happy with the breakfast here.
Commendable too are the restaurant staff. Serving with a pleasant smile is Melissa. The rest would also go out of their way to cater to your requests. Yes, I shall give Savoy Cafe a two...

Read moreI understand that there would be dress codes in places lol but what cringes me is the hotel being in a BEACHY LOCATION and the waiter telling us that we are not allowed in the Cafe just because my partner is wearing sleeveless, we just wanted to get breakfast since its the nearest to our condo. Its such a stupid policy for breakfast, i would get it if its dinner setup but we just got up and went straight away for breakfast, i have never experienced this ever from top rated hotels even outside philippines!
