Visited this restaurant as it's apparently a bit of an institution based off the other reviews.
The food was very solid but would not really wow you (which is a big ask of course). I would have no issue eating here again on future visits to the city. Quite affordable too which gets it an extra half star.
Alibar Chicken Special (P250 for a half order) is fried chicken doused in a sweet red sauce. It's not quite sweet and sour chicken but I've seen at least one other lcoal restaurant (in Quezon City too) with a similar offering. Still unusual for me so plus points. Large serving but chicken was just alright.
Canton Guisado (P75) follows the trend of safe, unspectacular, familiar food served cheaply.
