Finally, I ventured out to this cafe I'd been meaning to visit for a while.
It's a nice, cozy, and spacious place. The staff are accommodating, the air conditioning works well, and the cell coverage is great.
They have tables with power plugs, and some can accommodate up to six people. This might be the spot if you're looking for a place to chill with friends, read a book, or play board games.
However, there are a few compromises. I ordered a Keto Muffin, Double Chocolate Cookie, Spicy Jamaican pie, Beach Side Calm drink, and their house-brewed coffee.
I wasn't a fan of the keto muffin. The cookie was nice, but since I'm on a diet, I couldn't eat much of it. The Beach Side Calm drink was too sugary, but the coffee was good.
The pie was decent as well. I wouldn't be too harsh on the food because if I had communicated my preferences better, I could have adjusted the drink's sugar content and perhaps changed a few other things.
Is it a deal breaker? Not really, considering the other things you can do there. Plus, there's literally a pizza joint on the ground floor. Regarding the location, it's not wheelchair friendly, but it does have parking and is open until midnight.
The music is loud but good; I actually enjoyed it. However, it could become distracting if you're trying to read something, so I'd suggest lowering the volume to 10-25% of its current level. Bringing headphones is a good idea.
Is it a replacement for my usual Starbucks cafés? No, but it's a nice alternative for when I'm not keen on being alone in a big cafe.
I'm actually excited to bring my laptop and work here and play some board games with people. Believe me, it's not crowded, with not much foot traffic but a lot of Grab orders.
It's also great for dates. Highly...
Read moreWe tried this Figaro Coffee branch because it was the only place open late in the evening that served coffee. The place is nice and cozy, with comfortable seating and pleasant ambient lighting. They offer a wide variety of menu choices. Friendly staff.
Our family of four, including two kids and two adults, ordered brewed coffee, fresh orange juice, a Chicken Caesar Salad, cakes, and cookies. The price of the Caesar salad was high, but when it was served, there was little to no chicken. It was my first time eating a Caesar salad with lots of sweet walnuts and a sweet brown sauce that didn't complement the dish. The sweetness overpowered the traditional Caesar dressing, making it unrecognizable and disappointing for its price of 275 pesos. I would rate it 1 out of 5.
The orange juice was very sour, and the brewed coffee was too strong, requiring a lot of sugar to balance it out. The cake and cookies were mediocre. Overall, once was enough. We won't be going back. The food was nothing special, though the place itself was okay. Other than that, it's not worth...
Read moreBeen meaning to go here for a while now. I just hesitated because of how the parking is situated. As the gas station in the same lot has closed, the transport group parking there as well as the tricycle association out front have blocked parts of the entrance. It was probably to deter random people from parking and taking their spots. The problem is, it also drives away potential customers from parking. And that affects both Figaro and the Angel's Pizza store downstairs. Anyway, I've been going to Figaro stores since the mid-2000's. Love the menu, good coffee, great cozy vibe. This one is a relatively new store, so it is a bit more modern. The store does feel homey to me since I'm familiar with what their old stores looked like. Its got a lot of space. It could probably seat 80 people. And at the right time of day, you will have the place to yourself. You can bring your laptop and work on that novel in peace if...
