I am an American from Texas, but have traveled to the Philippines four times in the last three years, so I know a thing or two about the hotels there.
This is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in, not only in the Manila area, but also Cebu and Mindinao cities. The location rests in a quiet area, but only ten minutes walk to the largest mall in the area, SM Clark City. My room was also the largest room I have had of any hotel (even in the United States), which was a blessing for my one year old son to crawl around.
Next door to the hotel is a really good Korean restaurant with strong air conditioning. If you are on a budget, there is a tiny food vendor that is cheaper. But she sells out by noon, so don't wait too long! Amazing cooking she does. If you want laundry done, a laundry business is also right there. The location really is superb!
All of the hotel appliances (ac, hot water, etc) worked very well. You can tell that ownership maintains the building and gives extra care beyond the average hotel owners.
For example, padding was placed on the feet of the tables in the rooms to aid in keeping a quiet atmosphere. And fans are placed in the lobby area for guests that are waiting for the taxi to pick them up. The elevator is top of the line quality. The hotel hallways are very clean. The doors to the rooms are not cheap, but thick doors.
The maid staff are nice and greeted me when they saw me.
I was so impressed with the establishment that I was going to tip the front desk, but they said write a good review instead. So here I am.
Emmaus Condotel will be my hotel for my visits...
Read moreCheck-in was smooth and room was upgraded for free cause the original room size was not ready. Room is clean and there were nice perks like fridge and hot water kettle. No TV or safe. Door is a simple key with no deadbolt, not the most secure since anyone can walk in during the day bypassing reception. Curtains don't block out light so bring eye mask. Shower was clean but simple. The nuts needed to be tightened, water was spraying everywhere. Biggest downside is the neighborhood. It's walking distance to a lot but I wouldn't recommend walking, especially after sundown. It's eerily dark, storefronts all have barred doors and windows, and barbed wires. Stray dogs barking all night. During day kids playing really loudly outside. Door is not sound proof so you can hear everything in hallway. Its fine if you know what you're getting, but it's a...
Read moreWe stayed at Emmaus Hotel for three days, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The place is impressively clean — from the lobby to the rooms, everything is spotless and well-maintained. Our room was spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The water heater worked perfectly, which was a huge plus.
Right next to the hotel is their Emmaus Café, a cozy spot worth visiting even if you’re not staying in. The Café Americano was surprisingly good — rich and flavorful — and their tapsilog was also delicious and satisfying.
Overall, Emmaus Hotel offers great value, comfort, and cleanliness. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and...
