This made the mark for our Clark trip. Amazing Mexican food and well worth the price. Their menu is quite small but that's okay because each item we tried was really good and made well and the quality was superb. The burger with cream cheese and jalapeno was the one that blew me away because of how each component complimented each other. Although it's not a brioche bun but more of a pita bread, still worked well with the beef. The nachoes also was so loaded that almost every chip could have a good share of the toppings. Milkshakes were really think felt like ice cream and was such a good dessert. The chilidog was also great because the chili was well balanced and just the spicy comes through with good flavor. The shrimp tacos were the bomb too. Shrimps are good to bite with good sour cream sauce to add that smooth texture and flavor. The quesadillas were a good balance of cheese and meat. The fajitas were okay not my go it order and probably my least liked item we ordered but has good flavor. I wished we went for the hot of the buffalo chicken instead of mild because the buffalo flavor didn't really come through but amazed that even with buffalo sauce the crunch of the skin was well preserved and the chicken meat still seasoned well. But their hot sauce does help with that spice flavor. Worth the price and visit. Definitely a must try for me if you are into...
Read moreSpanglish is the coziest place to get your fix of Mexican food cravings and is definitely a must-try if you're ever in Clark. Its charm lies in the owner's very quirky but elegant taste in interior design and the friendliness of the staff. But where it really shines is in its food. Spanglish's burritos are its crowning glory - the meat (which comes in a selection of beef steak, chicken, or shrimp if I remember correctly) is cooked to just the right tenderness and is stuffed at just the right proportions with the rice and beans. Quesadillas are satisfyingly scrumptious triangles of cheese and your choice of beef, chicken, or veggies. The chicken fajitas are served at noticeably smaller portions but are nonetheless cooked to just the right tenderness. Chicken wings are nothing to write home about but their taste compliments the other items nicely. The cilantro and chili dressing that they serve are equally superb. Their drinks are served in mason mugs and are equally delicious (my favorite is their cucumber lemonade). And their speculoos milkshake is the best I've tasted so far. The menu picks all come in glorious servings at reasonable prices. I can't say yet if this is the best Mexican restaurant in Pampanga because I don't know many others, but I would be happy if this is the only one...
Read moreIf you are in the mood for TexMex, I guess you absolutely have no choice but to go to Spanglish. The place is a bit small but its the most popular along the strip of restaurants in the area. Weekends are quite busy so it would be wise to come in early. Parking is not a problem and there is a security guard. The menu is not too extensive but it worked to their advantage as the prep time and quality of the food is excellent. The bite-sized Soft Taco is delicious. The soft shell is not too thin. Just right enough to hold the fillings and not absorb the liquid from the meat and the sauce. Pair it with the 2 hot sauce (Hot and Very Hot) on the table and there you go. The Chili Con Carne is tasty and served in a tortilla bowl. Its has a hint of spiciness which I wish could be elevated more as it packs a lots of flavor. Although the Nachos is good, I did find the cheese a bit thick with a textural feel almost like a cold cream sauce. Overall the verdict is... The food is really good and It makes me feel sad for the rest of the shops beside it. Will obviously be back again to try the other menu in the near future....
