Not my first time at David’s Tea House but my first time in this branch. Tonight I had the asado noodles and radish cake. I’ve tasted better versions than this one. The noodles looked sad with the asado. The radish cake did not have that outer crispiness (and pungency!) I want in this dimsum. The interior had some hanging decors (I don’t think they are lights) that looks like larvae...or of your imagination can run wild, they may look like brains belonging to a giant! But I have to give credit to the staff who were so nice ( in spite of the face mask) and attentive. David’s is at league with North Park, Hap Chan, Luk Yuen and even Tien Ma but sorry, not at par. I would even not exchange Suzhou for this one. Now I remember why I do not frequent this place much even if there are a lot of outlets; but it’s good to see that David’s is thriving considering its competition.

Their noodle soups and congee are decent. You can have better from Luk Yuen and even North Park at similar price range, but David’s will still be satisfying. What David’s Tea House does better than Luk Yuen and North Park is the quality of service their wait staff provide. Compared to the other said Chinese restaurants, David’s Tea House’s staff are friendlier and more proactive in serving their customers. For example, we never needed for our glasses to be refilled with water as the staff we’re attentive enough to know our glasses were already empty so they fill them up without needing to be asked; whereas at Luk Yuen (Glorietta branch), you’re better off going to the counter and refill your glass yourself, as the Luk Yuen staff seem hell-bent on not looking at the customers, as if trying to purposely not serve them.

David’s Tea House Classic is a wonderful destination for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, featuring dim sum, noodles, congee, and classic Chinese dishes that cater to various tastes. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a mix of traditional and modern touches. The service is efficient, and the staff is attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. Some standout dishes include their siomai, hakaw, and roasted duck, all of which are flavorful and freshly prepared. The portions are generous and reasonably priced, offering great value for money. Whether you’re dining with family, friends, or solo, David’s Tea House Classic is an excellent choice for hearty, satisfying meals. It’s a place you’ll want to return to for both comfort food and special occasions.
