Lan Hot Pot — Restaurant in Makati

This branch of Lan Hotpot was leagues better than the one in Greenhills.

There are more selection, there was shrimp, there was broccoli, cauliflower, and mussels, among other offerings.

The meat section is also stocked to the brim, we never felt that we were shortchanged in ingredients, everything was available, at all times. They were very quick to refill.

A good thing also was that the sauces are also premade, so you just have to get one, making you skip the preparation step for it and guaranteeing the consistency. This was so smart and convenient.

There was also a row of ready to eat food available but we never tried it, since we came for the hotpot, but its there for people who want it.

There were only two downsides in this branch for me. The first one was the lack of fruit choices for desert, there were grapes on the other branch. There was no grapes here. Small nitpick by now.

The other is more urgent and needs to be handled. The male restroom is poorly maintained, and has a very foul odor. I know, its supposed to be a restroom, but it would help if the restrooms were made cleaner with maybe some aromatherapy. This small quality of life change will definitely make diners enjoy the experience more for sure. Maybe the management should ensure the restrooms are maintained better than it is now.

Other than those, it was a great experience. Definitely better than the greenhills branch, and definitely worth the money this time. If you happen to live near the area and you are craving hotpot, this is a place that is definitely...

First time we came here was very good. Foods great ,lots of display in the counter.Thats why i came back for the second time, it was very bad. Too slow to refill beef , specially seafoods.i ask a staff if they are going to refill crab and muscles and she told me there’s no more crab. i didn’t leave yet coz im getting veggies and another staff came again and i ask her if there is no more crab she told me she will check it, she ask someone and i heard them saying there is. So the first staff was lazy to ask and refill the seafoods? isn’t? They did refill but i have to go back for the 3rd time to check. No more bottle water they said only service water i said its okay but they made me wait for 5 mins but still no water, i ask for a cup so i will just get juice because i was really thirsty but they told me to wait also because they are washing the cups. i waited more minutes but none of them come. as i already ask 2 persons. The first time and second time i came here was both weekdays not weekend but dinner time. To those lazy staff or the staff who maybe choosing whom to put their good service may you change your mindset or attitude to all your customers . I cannot recommend this to my family but others can still try. If the management could see this review maybe they could improve their future services.

Poor services Inconsistent on...

Availed of the lunch buffet priced at P799 per head.

Not good quality anymore. We used to come here with my family. But this time, the famous chicken soup taste just like Lucky Me Instant soup seasoned with powder. After our lunch, we all felt uncomfortable, I think we had a light toxic effect of too much seasoning put in the soup.

The meat balls tasted very starchy. The stuffing inside didn’t taste like meat at all. The sausage looked like children’s pretend food. The only real looking food were the shirataki noodles and veggies.

They served cooked noodles, fried rice and stir fried beef. But to our dismay, my daughter almost got choked by a small round piece of metal.

I brought this to the attention of the manager. He apologized and said he will inform the kitchen staff. For me, his apology was not enough and he just waived the service charge for our bill. I did not want to dictate what he should do as the manager of the restaurant. But for a customer to have almost swallowed a piece of metal. Can you just imagine if that happened to you or especially to a child or elderly who may not have been able to spit it out?

I am posting this feedback so that others will be careful of what they eat in buffets or in any eating places in general.
