Best Friends — Restaurant in Mandaluyong

It was an ok experience. Well lit, looks cleaner than shaw branch which is closer to me. Things is i came here for the recommendation of being in the top 10 for pares locations. Not bad, but feels more like a top 15- 20. I ordered the paresio so i could have unlirice plus a drink. I got the iced tea since i don't drink softdrinks. Its like a mix of red ice tea and a regular one. And its a bit drinkable for me coz its not too sweet, but theres a sour aftertaste that puts me off. The pares has thick sauce, which for me is good. Its got its own flavor, different from what im familiar with. The unlirice is plain rice, so youll be needing some soup to make it easier to compliment the pares. The soup is ok. Not too medjas feel and also not too vetsin or seasoning based. Proper saltiness. I was able to finish my plate, plus an extra rice. I miss the regular red sili though that goes well with pares for me. Fast moving service on a not so busy time. Self service the way other best friends are. Theres a siomai on the paresio, for added tummy fill. Could serve as a breaker in between...

Best Friends but parang mortal enemies treatment from some staff.

Food is average, the buttered chicken was decent vs. the others, but HORRIBLE is an understatement for the staff assigned during our dinner.

One staff got the wrong order of rice, but she was nicer so I didn’t really mind getting it. When we asked, this girl/boy(?) shouted rudely that it’s what on the list as if I’m not there. Then another staff was obviously avoiding eye contact when we tried following up the drink That they FORGOT TO MAKE that I had to make my voice louder. When we asked to pack our take out food, this same girl/boy(?) left the food a feet away from us without a word as if we do not exist and proceeds to clean our area. Been very calm about the entire thing and shrugged it off but the girl/boy really has this extremely unwelcoming attitude.

We’ll definitely just order...

I was so hungry and craving for pares and excited to try their pares tendon. But it was very disappointing because the service was very slow, lazy staff, and the pares tasted too sweet. My food was served for 30mins and staff were not even sure on what is the rest of my order. Could be good because food is affordable but could have been better if their staff are energetic, attentive. It seems like staff are just pinpointing to anyone of them who will take tue customer's order.

There is also a stench smell or smells like a cat's pee on the floor which gives a disgusting ambience in dining in. Will recommend this eatery? No. Never again. Id rather eat at home than dealing with their...
