The store is in a good location, with parking available, it is well-lit, maintained and clean. Food ranges from 150-400 pesos, I have tried their burger steak, signature goto tendon, salted egg ube con nyebe, tendon pares and tokwa't baboy. Their other food is good, but their specialty Goto Tendon is great and in a class of its own, it is personally my number 1 goto ever, it doesn't have the overpowering taste that you'd normally expect from lugaw/goto, and the tendon is extremely soft but very flavorful, but be wary of ordering their large portions, some people make that mistake not knowing it's meant for 2-3 persons. I personally recommed trying (aside from their goto tendon) the Salted Ube Egg Con Nyebe, the perfect way to end a meal ! And if you haven't yet tried it, they offer Stellina's Lemonade as a drink, which you can also buy at your local 7-11, but nevertheless is a good drink. Service takes 30 mins even if you're the only diners there, so minus a point for that, highly recommend the...
Read moreComfort food brought to a higher level. This has always been my description of this restaurant. Imagine the classics such as goto, tokwa, silogs served in a nice meticulously arranged platter while dining in an airconditioned place against bricks and vigan tiles as background.
This is my go-to (no pun intended) place when bringing my balikbayan and ofw friends to taste their much beloved and surely missed Filipino karinderya foods. Cleanliness is topnotch, friendliness of staff is commendable.
Prior to pandemic, we frequented their now defunct scout tobias branch and we had to brave a long wait in order to secure seats. Me and my friends didn't really mind and even thought that added to the excitement of dining.
I love their attention to details from the water pitcher (converted old champagne bottles) to the wall designs - simple, coherent, elegant).
The Boni branch is spacious. It's got ample space for parking and has facilities for pwd's and seniors. You would love the experience of...
Read moreMy order of the goto tendon regular came with a packet of chicharon poppers and a slice of calamansi. Mixed together, the goto was flavorful, every spoonful had either a piece of goto or tendon. Delicious! I ended my meal with the Kape con Niyebe, a coffee-flavored dessert made of finely shaved ribbons of ice with tiny cubes of coffee jelly at the top and bottom. Refreshing on a hot day.
Each table was thoughtfully provided with a tall bottle of cold water. There were also enough wait staff to attend to the needs of its diners. Service was fast and courteous, including the security guard. No wonder the turnover of satisfied customers per table was fast. Extra points for the clean and spacious dining area and restroom. Best to avoid the lunch and dinner crowds if bringing a car because parking may be full.
I will bring my family on my next trip to...
