Bubba Lab Finest - Lamp Quarters — Restaurant in Marikina

The restaurant is conveniently located in the Lamp Quarters, just a few minutes from Marikina Sports Center and SS Village. Lamp Quarters houses local food stops with indoor and outdoor seating perfect for big or small groups. The venue is also pet friendly for all pet lovers.

The interior is inspired by a scientific laboratory, every detail is well-thought. There is a wall with vertical garden, another wall with a stall of laboratory finds, even the menu is a modified periodic table perfect for the geeks and even non-geeks for its artistic and Instagrammable designs. They serve their drinks in graduated cylinders and food platters in scientific, metallic funnels. The staff wear laboratory coats on top of being attentive to your needs.

My top picks are their signature drinks. The Salted Caramel Frappe is great for people who likes a hint of coffee on their drink but not as overpowering. The salted caramel and sweet cream compliments the coffee frappe perfectly (P135 for medium, P145 for large). The Blueberry Milk Tea is great for milk tea lovers. It is topped with sweet whipped cream mixed with blueberry, rock salt, and cheese for that blueberry cheesecake flavor. The green tea based tastes organic and natural and has a perfect minty taste. The Cucumber Smoothie is great for health conscious people who loves cucumber and/or green apple - the blend was a perfect mix. The Passion Fruit juice with Basil Seeds is great for people who likes to lose weight since basil seeds gives a full stomach feeling. Apart from that, the mixture also tastes great with the right amount of sweetness.

Apart from their flavorful drinks, they also serve appetizers which are good for groups of 2-4. They have the Super Nova platter which includes Battered Fish, Squid Fritters, Jojos which is deep-fried potatoes, and Super Nachos. They serve ot with four dips where Garlic Aioli is...

Food - Their fries and sausages are good, but the sausage with chili con carne did not meet our expectation. They have wide variety of drinks.

Service - Terrible. We ordered food and drinks at the same time and the drinks were served first. We thought that the food will be coming shortly so we did not ask. When we did a follow-up, the server told us that the cook just came in and they will only start preparing our food - which she did not tell us upon ordering. We let it pass only to be told after a few minutes that one of our orders is not available.

We still waited for our remaining orders to be served. One of it was the trio potato. The one they served contained 2 varieties/cuts of fries. We asked about the third variant (potato wedges), and we were told that it is not available so THEY decided to replace it with more serving of fries without even consulting us.

Atmosphere - Decent place with...

Coolest Bubba Lab branch in Marikina! The place is really big and enough for about 30-50 person I think. The staffs are also friendly and the AC is working well. I was just not satisfied with the milk tea compared to other teas we have but yeah, overall I really like the place and we did enjoyed the night at Bubba Lab. Maybe I'll try a different flavor of milk team next time :)
