Comedor is one of our go-to restaurants in Marikina. Food is always good and worth the price. Dined here on a Saturday afternoon, restaurant was full but we were still able to get a table & food arrived fast even if there were lots of guests. We ordered our usuals: 1. Lechon Sisig - I feel like this was better before, not sure if it’s the quality of pork used for this time but it didn’t taste fresh. 2. Calamares - very bready, but the salted egg mayo was good. 3. Ensaladang Talong - this was good and light. Went well with the bagoong 4. Lengua in Mushroom Sauce 5. Lechon Belly Kare-Kare 6. Garlic Rice Service is always good also whenever we dine here. Servers are all friendly and attentive. 😀 The restaurant’s clean as well but had this weird smell when we entered. Kind of smelled like cleaning soap that didn’t dry (like kulob). But eventually didn’t smell it, maybe we got used to it already 😅 Parking isn’t that difficult anymore since there’s an empty lot beside the restaurant.

Comedor by Miguel & Maria offers a delightful dining experience with a cozy ambiance and a well-curated menu of Filipino favorites. We tried several dishes, and overall, it was a satisfying meal! The Woknatoy was flavorful, with a rich and savory sauce that paired perfectly with rice. The Fresh Lumpia was light and refreshing, packed with fresh vegetables and a delicious sauce. The Bulalo Kare-Kare was okay, wished the sauce was a little bit more creamier and peanuty. The Sinigang na hipon tastes good but the shrimps weren’t that fresh anymore. The Pancit Bam-I offered a balanced mix of textures and flavors. For dessert, the Putobumbong Cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal—rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. However, the Chicharon Bulaklak was a bit of a letdown, as it wasn’t fried well enough to achieve that crispy texture we were expecting. The service was warm and accommodating. Definitely a great spot for Filipino comfort food in a charming setting!

Vegetable okoy was a winner for everyone at the table, the accompanying vinegar was well balanced. The ensaladang talong could've used a bit more salted egg. The kare kare would've been much more enjoyable if not the for the random bits of crunch in random bites. Some were whole peanuts, presumably to add texture, some were bits of small bone, presumably from haphazard prep. It wasn't a fun experience playing Russian roulette on whether I'd be biting into peanuts or breaking a tooth. The grilled platter was pretty standard grilled meats, but at the price it didn't seem to be very good value or 1pc each of squid and tilapia, liempo and a quarter chicken. They did me dirty with my takeout, the foil leaked midway and punched a wet hole at the bottom of the brown bag. Maybe use plastic next time?

Too bad I can't leave a review on your FB page, here's what I thought:

Exceptional Coffee and Breakfast Experience!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Comedor by Miguel & Maria and was absolutely blown away by the exceptional service and delicious coffee and breakfast provided by your employee, Cedric. Cedric's attention to detail and dedication to providing a top-notch experience truly stood out.

First and foremost, the coffee was simply outstanding. From the moment I took my first sip, I could tell that Cedric takes great pride in his craft. The beans were expertly roasted, resulting in a rich and flavorful cup that was an absolute delight. The presentation was also noteworthy, with each cup served with care and accompanied by beautiful latte art.

Not only was the coffee exceptional, but the breakfast options were equally impressive. The menu offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes, and I had a difficult time choosing just one. Ultimately, I opted for the Tapa with sunny side up egg, and it exceeded my expectations. I also ordered banana caramel pancakes with fried chicken. It was a true culinary delight!

What truly set Comedor by Miguel & Maria apart was the impeccable service. Cedric himself was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the coffee and food he served. He took the time to answer my questions and offer recommendations, ensuring that my dining experience was personalized and memorable. The entire staff was attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed and making me feel like a valued customer.

The ambiance of the café was also worth mentioning. The space was tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy my coffee and breakfast while soaking in the pleasant surroundings.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Comedor by Miguel & Maria, especially Cedric, to anyone in search of a memorable coffee and breakfast experience. From the exceptional coffee to the delectable menu options and attentive service, Cedrick's dedication to quality shines through in every aspect. I'm already looking forward to...

DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I feel compelled to share my recent disappointing experience with Miguel & Maria, particularly in light of the highly anticipated Valentine's Day celebration. Having diligently secured a reservation for their Valentine's Buffet via their Messenger account, following the instructions outlined in their promotional materials, I found myself taken aback when, unexpectedly, the reservation was revoked a mere day before Valentine's Day.

The cancellation not only disrupted my carefully laid plans but also left me scrambling for alternatives at the eleventh hour. As someone who has frequented Miguel & Maria on numerous occasions in the past, I had placed considerable trust in their ability to deliver a memorable dining experience.

Regrettably, this incident has called into question their reliability in handling reservations and bookings. While I have always appreciated the quality of their cuisine, the recent lapse in customer service has left a lingering sense of disappointment. I no longer trust them.

Moving forward, I will be exploring other dining options for future celebrations, mindful of the importance of dependable service in enhancing the overall...

First thing you will notice when you go here are the staffs. Right in front of the front door, the guard will courteously and happily greet you a pleasant morning. They are accommodating to #bikers and have a generous space for #bikeparking and #carparking .

The staff, regardless of who, inside immediately greets you a pleasant morning also even if you are seated.

I avail the #unli breakfast menu. Their garlic longanisa and tocino are delicious. Their coffee is strong "kaya kang ipaglaban" and their cucumber lemonade is refreshing. However, they served me not so hot scrambled eggs which needs a minor improvement. Sunny side up eggs are a little too oily for my taste but they have ketchup to make up for it.

Ice cream, yes, they are included, in the unli breakfast menu, is also delicious.

The comfort room smells and had amenities like expensive hotels you see in Metro Manila. #bidet

The ambience is also great.

By the way, you can pay with gcash.

Overall experience: superb

Will definitely go back again if we have a chance to go back to #Marikina again. Hope this restaurant continues to grow and to survive in these trying times.

No pictures because I was very hungry...
