Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Premier The Samgyupsal – Marikina Visited: May 25, 2025
We visited Premier The Samgyupsal in Marikina for our post-mass Sunday lunch, right in the middle of a punishing summer heat wave. Thankfully, the cool, air-conditioned space provided immediate relief and set the tone for what became one of our most satisfying Korean BBQ meals.
We went with the Unli Mix Set (₱580 Lunch Promo), which came with 9 types of meat (beef, pork, chicken), 15+ Korean side dishes, seafood soup, steamed egg, unlimited rice, and sauces — all generously served.
Food: ★★★★★
Everything was on point. The spicy chicken had the perfect kick, the beef bulgogi was sweet and tender, and even the lean pork cuts grilled up beautifully. What made the meal truly shine were the banchan (side dishes) — the best we’ve had so far. From the fluffy steamed egg and garlicky peanuts to the refreshing cucumber salad and anchovies, every side dish played its role perfectly. Papa especially enjoyed the seafood soup, Mom had fun with the lettuce wraps, and I took grill duty — a full team effort and total hit.
Service: ★★★★★
The staff were prompt, friendly, and efficient. Refills came quickly, grill changes were smooth, and they stayed attentive without hovering. It made for a smooth, relaxed lunch.
Ambiance: ★★★★★
The restaurant was clean, comfortably air-conditioned, and perfect for escaping the summer heat. Tables were well spaced, the environment was calm and family-friendly, and despite being a Sunday, it didn’t feel chaotic. It may not be fancy, but the comfort and chill vibe made it perfect for the occasion.
Parking Tip:
Parking is limited and shared with another restaurant. Fortunately, we arrived early and didn’t have an issue, but it could be tricky during peak hours. Pro tip: arrive before the rush — early lunch or off-peak times are best.
Menu & Value:
At ₱580 per person (less with Senior and PWD discounts), this is easily one of the best-value KBBQ options in the area. Nothing felt skimped or rushed. The meat, side dishes, and service were all top-tier for the price.
Final Verdict:
Premier The Samgyupsal – Marikina hits the sweet spot for family dining: flavorful meats, exceptional side dishes, attentive service, and a cool, clean space — all at a very friendly price. With our bellies full and hearts happy, we left knowing this will be our new go-to Korean BBQ spot. Highly recommended!

Read moreClean place. Around 10 tables inside that can seat 4 each. They serve you the meats before you are seated. Depends on your preference if that's a good thing or not. For us, it wasn't. They didn't ask you what types of meat you would prefer. If you're a first timer, i hope you don't fill up on the chicken breasts. They gave us like 5 or 6. We only tasted one and gave back the rest since we won't be eating chicken that much. Hope they ask the customers next time what meats they prefer before serving.
Meats looked and tasted fresh or at least well prepared. All were tasty. They also had pork steak. But we felt that it was a bit oilier than the samgyup places that we've been to. Sides were just like with any other samgyup place with added items than the usual places. I always like kimchi and fish cakes. It was just normal. Nothing notable with the sauces and all. Cheese sauce was already melted. I prefer the block of cheese that melts like from other samgyup places. Very off putting was the not so fresh lettuce. At some point, i even felt that they gave us the not so fresh ones while they gave the fresh looking ones to others. We had two sets of lettuces and both had wilted ones.
Service was just ok. They were fast in serving what was requested of them. Btw, we were the first to come in and 3 more groups came in when we started eating. Knowing that we were the only customers from the beginning, they could've put us in a table were the grill worked properly. They had to turn off the grill when it was burning so much and had a stick and a piece of tissue to keep the burner in place.
For 528 per person, not too bad. They dont have seafood or enoki mushrooms. Just meats. No unlimited drinks either. You could probably order that separately. Didn't bother to check or ask. Dont they realize that having unli drinks can fill your customers up quickly? We probably won't be returning again though. Hope this helps in whether you would consider going to the place or not. Hopefully, they also read this...
Read moreAte there last night with my sisters. It's our first time there. Got there 5pm and there's still a lot of tables available (It's a Tuesday btw). Has enough parking space, though you have to be early to secure one if you're going for dinner.
Meat is good. Compared to other places with similar rates. We got the mix unli (chicken, pork, beef) Tho, we only asked for pork and beef. Cut is good and quality also. However, when we are seated, they did not ask what type of meat we want they just served a first batch of different meats. All the meats we've tried are good, except with the marinated beef as it was all fat. Too bad the marinate is really good but like 85-95% beef fat!
Side dishes were ample. Has a variety. They serve 2 kinds of soup. I think one is daenjang chigae with soft tofu, and the other is like a soup with fishcake. Tho they don't have japchae or coleslaw like the other premiere branches like morato.
Service-- it's okay. When you buzzed for them it took them a while to get to you. We're only seeing like 2 staffs going back and forth for orders and such but we can see some people available near the register doing nothing (idk if not supposed to go for requests) but around 6pm the place is packed and has lines outside. You just have to buzz like multiple times, and be patient!
Ambience is good. The place is not big, but compared to other places we did not smell like bbq when we get to the car so kudos to the ventilation. Also you can control the fire or the smoke in the grill as it has charcoal but also like a burner switch? Im not sure.
Overall good experience. We'll definitely be back here. Although I think people should get there not later than 6pm to avoild waiting in line for too long. We finished like 7:15 and the queue was.. my golly. Expect to wait like 2 hours as almost table were just...
