Giligan's — Restaurant in Marikina

We were a relatively large group when we had a luncheon birthday celebration for a family here. We called in advance to let them know of the head count (20 pax) and we also informed them of our food order. They offer group set meals (good for 4 and good for 6 pax), which are very reasonably priced and there are a number of sets to choose from. When we went there, they seated us in a dining area at the back and we appreciated that they had the other customers seat elsewhere so as to give us some privacy. They didn't have air-conditioning but they provided electric fans. Aside from this, the place is good. I noticed there were only few customers inside so I went in and checked their menu.I instantly fancied the garlic rice and pinakbet so I ordered them. While waiting for my food I noticed that the place needs painting,,,the chairs/sofa were ripped and the door going to the restroom is filthy. They could have at least scrub it to look clean. The staff were great, friendly enough. The food I ordered was fantastic, super yummy and I love it. I will try to go back to Giligan's Restaurant for take out again. You heard it right. This is the best for me.

Food is good, staff is welcoming and the dish is in good portion.

What I need to suggest to them tho is to fix the airconditioning inside because it tends to become hotter than usual because it's found on the back side of the establishment.
