McDonald's — Restaurant in Marikina

Though we understand that not all people are pet lovers, however, your staff especially your guard on duty should have some decency in reprimanding customers bringing pets. Driving from San Mateo at wee hours in the morning, we chose to stop over at this branch to satiate our hunger. Since we did not see any signs that “pets are not allowed”, and our puppy is just less than 2 kilos, we decided to bring him inside and not leave him inside the car as he is only a month old, also he’s not feeling well so definitely he cannot be left behind. So we thought everything’s fine until this certain guard approached us in an ill-mannered way and told us to just put the puppy on the floor since pets are not allowed inside this branch. As mentioned, we understand that not all people are pet lovers, but these people should also understand that we pet lovers care deeply about our pets and we treat them like our own children. It is really frustrating to be approached that way. It really hurts us a lot. Well not only in this branch, but I hope all McDonald’s should train their staff and security guards to approach their customers in a nice or courteous way in any circumstance. Management & security cannot control the troublemaking Grab/Foodpanda riders loitering around their parking premises.

One such instance happened when a Grab Rider willfully obstructing the 4wheel parking space was able to storm inside the store and almost assault a customer because of a parking obstruction dispute.

The guards were not on top of the altercation, and the civilian bystanders had to step-in and de-escalate the situation themselves.

Even after the altercation, grab rider still continued obstructing the 4-wheel parking despite a lot of motorcycle parking slots available. Management and/or security seemed to know the riders personally, hence the leniency despite the trouble they bring.

No explicit expression of apology nor assurance for safety was given by management/security to the customers as well, given that most of their customers are students and they allow physical altercation to ensue inside...
