Blu Cafe — Restaurant in Olongapo

The restaurant is cool, the drinks and bagels are nice. Main concern was my experience with the staff. I ordered a bunch of bagels for take out but i also ordered one of their drinks. While i was waiting for my order, my order of bagels were packed all that was left was my drink. I was waiting for a few mins the staff asked me if i was waiting for something else. I told them my drink, so they looked at the que for the orders for the drinks and there was no order for my drink listed. So they checked receipt and apparently i didn't mention anything about getting a drink (even though i remember placing one because i asked what were their best sellers). So after them not noting my order, there was a brief pause of silence from them not doing anything just waiting for each other to say something. I don't need the service to be perfect, but it would've been nice if they offered to punch in a new order for my drink but the staff was just silently looking at each other so i just left because i was running late already. This cafe/restaurant truly stands out with its great ambiance and impressively spacious interior. The unique style creates a welcoming atmosphere, making it a promising spot for hangouts, quick snacks, and even visits with kids.

However, the experience comes with a few notable drawbacks, primarily concerning value for money. While the pasta tasted good, the serving size was quite tiny for its price. The "onion leek bread" was particularly deceiving; the flavorful spread was only on the outer perimeter, leaving the inside empty and making it feel overpriced.

The outside patio offers a promising setting, but it's quite disheartening that the view is unfortunately marred by trash in the sea.

The cashier could really use a smile or two, if you know what I mean.

I wanted to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Blu, especially Ms. Aleya Irene, for finding my purse that I left behind last night (October 15th). When I realized it was missing, my friends and I contacted the restaurant, and they quickly verified if it was indeed mine. The staff were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with.
