Just went here yesterday for our lunch and since we haven't tried Thai food before, we thought it would be the best time to try it in Thai Fusion. This low key little fab is just behind Meat Plus Cafe along the Sampson Road. The entrance to this resto might give you confusion as if it looks like the back door hall a huge fast food chain. The place is quite small if you have big group to dine in. Though the premises are not utterly superior aethestically, I find their food remarkable particularly their Thai versions of Som Tum, Pork Pad Thai and Tom Yun. Their pork pad thai is perfectly prepared but you need an extra squeeze of lime and chilis to boost your thai palate. On the other hand, their soup (Tom Yun) is awesome. It's perfect. Right amount of heat and coconut cream. The servings also are for shares so you better buckle off your bellies as they served you good for 3 persons a meal. 5 stars if you are looking for cheap but tasty food trip. If you are not into thai cuisine, since the name implies on it, you can have Flipino and Korean cuisines here too. Sounds amazing right?! Well, as for me I'll go back here...
Read moreWe came here expecting a good dining experience since the place has high ratings and was recommended by our local friends. The food was actually fine despite the price, but everything else was disappointing.
We arrived a little past 9, knowing the cut-off was 9:30, and we were fine with ordering quickly. Still, the staff rushed us and made us feel unwelcome. While eating, they kept staring at us, laughing and cursing loudly with each other, which ruined the atmosphere.
Worst of all, even though the restaurant serves a mix of cuisines including Korean, the staff were openly rude to their Korean guests. They spoke over them, cleared chairs right in front of their tables, and mocked them knowing they couldnât understand. This was both unprofessional and discriminatory.
If the staff wanted to close early, they should have said so directly instead of ruining the dining experience...

That said, the dining experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The servers were noticeably grumpy and seemed more interested in getting through their shift than making guests feel welcome. Requests felt like a burden, and smiles were in short supply. It didnât ruin the meal, but it did take away from what couldâve been a top-tier experience.
I hope this will be...
