Great Gab's Coffee and Tea — Restaurant in Oslob

The lady serving looked at the menu board when I asked for an affogato. I found the cup served in was too big & unsuitable . A glass cup would be visually appealing. The coffee served in a tiny cup was cold. I then opted for an alternative cup of coffee. My flat-white was cold. I did not wish to cause any negative vibes & just finished my flat-white , again served in a cup far too big for a flat white. It was more like a cappuccino & the topping has no substance. It's the first chicken sandwich I had that had no dressing / mayonnaise of any sorts . The egg & pickles moistened the sandwich but in my opinion would have been better with a dressing especially mayonnaise. The pork chop with rice etc was good. Unsure why cheese-spice is sprinkled on French fries & it's best served by first requesting if the customer would like. Not much can be done with the frequent noise of passing trucks, cars & busses. This place was recommended by a Tour providers service ladies. With everything I have explored sofar in Oslob, this is certainly in the Tops of Oslobs cafes. The Staff was very very friendly and serviced me well. I decided for a hot americano and a Salat bowl. While the salad was really a unique combination of veggies and fruits, the coffee tended to be more on „the american“ Site of coffee life, so less strong than what you would get in other places of the world....

If you are looking for a place to sit and chill, this is not it. The owner did try to set the mood by palying some tranquil music but the cafe is right by the hiway (lots of trucks and buses passing with loud engines) and the lumber store across the street likes to blast their Jessie J playlists.

I had their pork tapa - serving portion was good and filling. Tastes okay.

Their tiramisu was okay as well, big portion, I couldn't finish.

Coffee frappe was too sweet...
