LASA BBQ - SM Sucat — Restaurant in Parañaque

We've been eating alot of Filipino food these days and Lasa has caught our attention. Lasa is a new Filipino style resto here in SM Sucat. We were curios so we tried them out and we were not disappointed. Their food was delicious. The have a nice variety of family sized meals, ranging from sea food choices to delicious signature grilled meats like pork and chicken. I suggest to start with some appetizers and get their grilled cheesy scallops! They're very cheesy and garlicky, a perfect starter for your heavy meals. We went with the Pinakbet (veggies with fried pork) which had a delicious veggie sauce! We also added their delicious Chicken barbecue skewers, which I taught was few and small in size but it actually was just right and enough for a group of 4. By the way, check the table for their vinegar bottle, because their vinegar is just fantastic and it compliments all their meat dishes amazingly!! We also got their Liempo which looked pretty and delectable but it wasn't that remarkable. It was just ok, not bad and good, just ok. Now the surprising dish was their Bangus (Milk Fish) it was so delicious, that we ordered another one! We really enjoyed it! Now as delicious their food was, the ambience was not that amazing. The wash area was near the kitchen and it was a tight squeeze to go there, I was with my father-in-law and he's alil old and it was difficult assisting someone elderly in a tight spot. I am very pleased with their speedy service though, their waiters were very attentive and friendly which is always a plus in my book. I believe in top notch customer service and Lasa did not disappoint. Would we comeback? Yes! That's until we get some Filipino food craving that is. I really love this place. Have eaten here 4-5 times in the last 2 months. Every time I walk in, they greet me with a smile and a "hello sir, good afternoon." The lechon kawali is divine, melt-in-your-mouth porky goodness. They give a smaller portion on their weekday special, but it has better value and comes with garlic rice, vegetables, everything cooked to perfection. . I have also tried their Kare-Kare, and absolutely loved it. And or course, I love their lechon kawali so much that I have to get it a-la-carte too, which is a very big portion of my favorite meat in th Phillipines.
