JANG GA RAE — Restaurant in Parañaque

Highlight of our experience was their exceptional side dishes. This restaurant offers traditional korean taste. Everything tastes home made.

There's ample parking space up front, we ate around lunch. It was hot inside though. We had to stay in front of the aircon to enjoy our meal, and even so, there was still a whiff of that heat wave coming off somewhere we could not identify.

We ordered galbisal and it was served cooked. It's okay because I'd rather eat than preoccupy myself with cooking. Kimchi jigae tastes good too. I opted for the meat to be replaced with tofu.

Overall I could come back to try their other dishes on the menu.

Jang Ga Rae is your trusty, classic, and traditional Korean restaurant. They've pretty much got everything you'd expect from a down-to-earth, no nonsense, Korean restaurant. Their edge, compared to other Korean restaurants with electric grills, is the fact that they use charcoal grills on every table. It just adds a different layer of flavor to the meat that propane grills cannot achieve. If you do not mind the typical Korean restaurant atmosphere where the place feels homey with mismatched interiors, boxes lining the floor, and the wallpaper or the ceiling needing a few repairs, then you'll have a satisfying, hearty dining...

Better than what we expected! We ordered bossam, seafood pancake, pork bone soup, mandu and beef tips. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered especially their bossam - meat was mildly seasoned and the kimchi that accompanied it was amazing! The only disappointment was that they didn't have any LA galbi and jokbal tonight. Nevertheless, this place...
